I'd also imagine Willie Mack as a good liaison, and that Aldis will be back eventually.

Not right now :patrice:

NWA Reportedly Unhappy With Willie Mack Signing With Impact Wrestling - Wrestling Inc.

In a now deleted tweet, NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis wrote about the situation, "If you ever wanted to see the evidence of scheming carny wrestling BS, look no further. Sorry Willie. They took advantage of you."

:mjpls:

If he wasn't locked down in a contract, can't blame him for signing elsewhere. On top of that he was getting cease and desist notices from LU for appearing on ROH/NWA

AEW merged with Impact would give the E a run
AEW wouldn't even need to merge. Just do the post-WCW contract buyout. They'd really only have use for what? Cage and the women? Can't think of anyone else AEW could actually use that they don't have someone capable in that spot. The Rascalz' spot is already held by Private Party. No need for OVE. Most of Impact's talent would be better served being in NWA than AEW.

That being said, Tessa, Jordynne and... probably Su could likely carry the rest of AEW's women's division into some form of half-baked functionality until some other people got out of contracts and made the jump. They could keep it afloat just having Tessa and Jordynne come in on some Pin-Up Strong/Becky&Charlotte in NXT/2-Woman Power Trip shyt and run roughshod until the Nightmare Collective thing simmered enough to run them into each other. Let Jordynne slam Kong as a Cena-Big Show moment, and run it in video packages for weeks.

But that shyt ain't gonna happen, and there's nothing else AEW could use from Impact. Not their production, not their agents. Probably not even their tape library, honestly.

The booking is very good now generally, its a shame that they've turned the corner there when their roster is full of bums now.

I'd add Moose, Rich Swann, and Ethan Page (probably would have to change his name due to Hangman Page being there) to the list of Cage, Tessa, and Jordynn Grace of the only people to pick up from there.
