This past Monday night on Raw, Chad Gable did the unthinkable by beating Intercontinental Champion Gunther. Unfortunately for the master of the Alpha Academy, he won by count-out, walking out with the victory but not the Intercontinental Championship.Angered by the loss, Gunther expressed dismay and embarrassment to his Imperium cohorts Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci. Vowing to make things right, Kaiser will take on Gable in singles action. Kaiser has been looking to gain favor with Alpha Academy’s Maxxine Dupri, who has repeatedly slapped the Imperium member.

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods will take on Erik and Ivar of The Viking Raiders in a matchup of two of the top tag teams on Monday Night Raw.The Viking Raiders issued an open challenge on the Aug. 7 edition of Raw and it was answered by none other than The New Day, which led to an incredible contest between the two teams.
