I think he'll be back. There's rumors that his camp wants a Tim Jennings type contract which is only $22 million or so... but I doubt its true.

Also, James Jones is probably gone :to:

I don't hate James Jones, it's just at times he seems like a mobile more leaner Finley. That and I kinda like Boykin. He has that shine Tramon had when no one wanted him in FA. If I saw a guy work his ass off to make the team, chances are he won't fukk around.

i wonder if raji regrets not signing that contract for 8 mil a year with 20 mil in guarantees
12 solo tackles and zero sacks in a 16-game season, he'd be better off quitting football and getting that State Farm endorsement money :beli:

If Shields got franchised, that'd be $11 mil per year? :whew:

He was easily expendable though with Boykin proving to be legit, I think everyone saw this coming. Any 4th WR in this offense will eat. Still sad to see a fan favorite with an incredible backstory go though.

The MJS report said it would be $11 mil :yeshrug:

Ted Thompson will find a way to cut it by a million and throw in a lifetime supply of Chunky Soup. Trade the gloves to New England for a 1st Round Draft Pick. Use that 1st round pick, and trade down for 2 2nd rounders.
Use one of them to trade for 2 3rd rounders a 6th rounder. :jawalrus:

I like Anthony Fera a lot if we go the draft route. He was a player who left Penn State (for Texas) after the sanctions, but he left to be closer to his sick mother, which I respect.

This year he was 5-5 from 40+ and 1-1 from 50+ yards. I think he's projected to be one of the first kickers taken and we've got nine picks in the draft I think (2 compensatory and maybe more coming per: http://espn.go.com/blog/green-bay-packers/post/_/id/7697/packers-have-7-draft-picks-more-coming).

Crosby's got a strong leg, but he's not very reliable :yeshrug:

Crosby earned his keep for another year. He's got his confidence back.

The cap is $133 million and we got $35 million in space after rolling over $10 million.

Need to plug on holes at safety, LB and DL and keep Shields.

Well, Shields is gonna hit Free Agency. I doubt he comes back here, as TT won't overpay, and someone else surely will. Sucks, cause he was really good for us.

Oh well, good luck to him.
