Laziest Beat Makers?

I don't know of any trap producer who uses drum loops. Plenty of boom bap producers get their drums from kits just like trap producers do or they straight up sample drum loops so how is that different from presets? There are lazy producers in all genres of hip hop

You said trap producers deserve more props than sample-based producers when they're not coming up with their own shyt nearly as much as you think they are. That was my point.

You can't really call a producer lazy without seeing the process. I mean using a sample doesn't mean you did much work either. The hard work isn't even finding a sample because you could literally find inspiration in the simplest of sounds. The real work is what you do with the sample in terms of chopping, looping, filtering, drum programming, and adding your own additional touches.

The only time I would call a producer lazy is:

1) when they sample something that multiple producers have sampled and they don't do anything much different.

2) When the song sounds like one continuous loop with little to no variation

Breh made some cold ass beats on that album so maybe Tee just prefers them annoying beats.

Zayyoven isn't lazy but he doesn't take his production to the next level despite his talent. His sounds are cheesy and the post production is almost non existent.
