A couple things, first of all as far as them not liking each other. Pimp said that was when they were younger in HS, pimp use to always refer to bun as his "brother". Again I won't pretend to be a insider of the UGK family but whatever disagreements/arguments they had was between so I consider that a family matter & shouldn't be none of my business or anyone's for that matter.

As far as bun not screaming get well C after the beating he took, come on bro you know how P use to get down. If he would've killed C an all out war would've ensued plus P looked at prince as a father figure so he wasn't about to disrespect him like that.

Understand I'm NOT dismissing nothing that you're saying, in my opinion C WAS ugk. C always carried the group & came up with song concepts & put in more work. I know of bun's reputation of being a friendly industry dude. Shifting gears real quick, correct me if I'm wrong didn't 50 diss pimp c or something & bun just brushed it off? I forgot what it was all about.

I'm not in houston & you have a pulse on whats going on in the city better than me so I'll take your word as gospel but from a distance it seems like bun is a stand up dude but maybe that's just for the cameras. So was his "free pimp c movement" more bun helping his career or keeping C's name hot?

As a long time Houston rap underground fan, i can't help but agree with the TS. It was no secret Bun and Pimp weren't on speaking terms. Pimp was real to the CORE and was completely against selling out to crackers and the gay community in Atlanta. Unfortunately, he didn't get the platform Bun had, so we really never heard his side. Pimp is one of my all time favorite rappers out of the south, and it was no secret Pimp has the entire SWAG of UGK. Bun had goodl lyrics and wordplay, but Pimp and those and oodles of charisma.

Truly a southern legend. RIP Pimp C...

I cosign what people have said about Pimp having more charisma and being able to carry a project better than Bun ... The Naked Soul of Sweet Jones and Trill O.G. came out within a month of each other and I got to thinking how Pimp could put out a better album than Bun despite being dead for three years

I really dont care about all that shyt all I know is from 95-01 Bun literally killed every feature he was on. Let's not act like Pimp aint do some fukked up shyt too but I do agree Bun started sucking knee caps too damn much and was just letting people bite our shyt relentlessly. Pimp was multi-talented when it came to music but he was stuck in that hood mindstate and his jail stints was time wasted for both of em. I appreciate both of them but lets be real they were always better together than solo. I really miss Pimp C's production though cats hardly use live instrumentation anymore (except Krit, DJ Burn One, and DJ Mr. Rogers)
