If Floyd wanted to make that Tsyzu fight he could have. Fighters move up and down weights all the time to fight the best and if he wanted it he could have got it. Why couldn't he have fought Kosta in his first fight at light welterweight instead of against Gatti, just like he chose to fight Castillo when he was the best at 135 in his debut?
:dwillhuh:

maybe because Tsyzu/Hatton was already scheduled to fight before Floyd moved up and Tsyzu lost and retired a few weeks before the Mayweather/Gatti fight so its not like Floyd couldve fought him next

atleast pick another fighter to use as an example breh...trying to say Floyd ducked a 35 year old Tszyu who got beat by Hatton and retired weeks before Floyd had his first fight in that weight class is just pathetic

Ok so what about Manny Cotto a prime Shane (not the one who had to get his teeth fixed who was not in his prime anymore) Casamayor Freitas Paul Williams and others. Floyd actually retired so the 147 division could clean itself up cause he knew he was going to have to fight a good to great fighter eventually and I don't think he wanted the risk of losing that 0. No doubt Floyd is an all time great but I think he could have been possibly the GOAT if he fought all the great fighters that he should have and cleaned out the divisions. Which is what most all time greats do.

I'll admit nothing. Ya'll can act like Floyd has fought the best comp all you want but you are believing a lie. And if you believe he hasn't ducked anyone that is on you. And how am I reaching when a whole ass of people, regular fans and "experts" have given Floyd flack for ducking fighters or fighting them after their prime. That's not a reach. That's pretty much a fact.

I realize with cats like you that Floyd can do no wrong and you are probably the type to believe he could beat anyone at anytime. We can talk about Kosta Tsyzu all we want and you can try to flip it on me if you want but stop yet you and others ignore the other great fighters he could have fought over the years.

no breh, you said Floyd shoulda fought Tsyzu "years earlier." You were talking out your ass. Just admit it.

Nothing you said here, no amount of "you a Floyd stan," can overcome you speaking out your ass.

Should've fought Mosley earlier? :dahell:

Mosley was bouncing up and down from 147/154 before Floyd even moved up to 140? When the fukk were they supposed to fight 1999?

Fistful of jewels
:sadcam: I think he's had some great fights. I especially liked his fights with De La Hoya, Castillo, and Hatton. Why am I in the minority on this? I find him fun to watch and very skillful. If my Mexican ass can admit he's that good, surely others here can.

People admit hes good, but there are others who won't admit that he takes the path of least resistance when it comes to matchmaking. Dude fought Carlos Baldomir, but wouldn't fight Margarito because "he had losses". Dude fought Marquez and Hatton because, "they called me out". Margarito stepped to him in his face. Wouldn't fight prime Cotto because, "he has to get his PPVs up", but fought Victor Ortiz and Robert Guerrero. Fought 39 times without any type of extra testing, but won't fight Manny Pacquiao unless he agrees to phony drug testing.

This is the other tactic.

No one thinks Margarito beats Floyd. Not only that, but dude has shown to be a fraud who tried to kill a fellow fighter by plastering his hands. Some how some fight fans want to use that against Floyd. On top of that the only reason that fight didnt happen was due to Arum.

And the revision on Baldomir irks me too. Baldomir was the number one WW in the world after beating Zab and Gatti.

Lets be real, Baldomir was "#1 " because he was a cinderella story, thats it. He got the Judah fight because he was supposed to be a pushover. So saying "Baldomir was #1 ", without going into context doesn't really show an agenda on your part.:beli: And no, Margarito had no plaster, or else he would have been suspended for life. Tony would have KOd Floyd. Remember when you picked Cotto to beat Tony because "hes faster, a better boxer, and knows how to cut off the ring"? I do. And Cotto got his shyt pushed in. Floyd would have too. Which is why he stayed away from prime welterweights in 07, 08, 09, 10. After the Hatton fight, Floyd said this, "I'm not trying to fight no welterweights.". Pretty much says it all.
