Floyd was a damn super featherweight up until 02 before he moved to lightweight but you think he couldve and shouldve fought a damn junior welterweight alot earlier?

i remember back then people were actually saying he was moving up weight classes too fast but of course now with all the revisionist history its he was ducking everybody

If Floyd wanted to make that Tsyzu fight he could have. Fighters move up and down weights all the time to fight the best and if he wanted it he could have got it. Why couldn't he have fought Kosta in his first fight at light welterweight instead of against Gatti, just like he chose to fight Castillo when he was the best at 135 in his debut?

Maybe not a lot earlier but he could have fought him. That could have been his first fight at 140 instead of Gatti who he knew was an easy win and would make him a PPV fighter. And im far from a hater bruh. Floyd is one of my favorite fighters ever. But i'm not about to sit here and act like he fought the best competition throughout his career.
