i guess if the contract is on his mind the whole season it could hinder his play or he might be resentful that it took another team offering for them to match.

but you cant really account for emotions, on a tangible level the spurs have nothing to lose letting him play out the season. and then matching offers.

You can't have two secondary dribblers like kawhi and parsons getting the primary minutes on ur perimeter especially when u starting pg is Monta whose a very good player but not a set up man. That just doesn't seem like a good lineup to put together on the floor. Either parsons or kawhi would need to come off the bench....
