It aged pretty well imo.

It’ll always have a soft spot for me because it was the first game I ever played on that gen, on my uncle’s 360. And one of the first games I got when I got a 360, along with Madden 09 and AC1 :wow:.

Also it was one of the first big evolutions that stuck out to me about that gen, from reading Game Informer and shyt. That and 2k’s sweat :russ:

It has a pretty good story. They tried to lean more towards realism which is mostly evident in the driving. Cool to play thru one time.
This, it’s cool to play through the story as a whole just to experience it, they nailed it with the gritty NY feel of it too, but unlike the other GTA’s there’s not much to it outside of the story

And like @Damnshow said, TBOGT DLC is def worth it, the main game got criticism for trying to be too realistic, that DLC was pretty much a response to that by having more entertaining “classic” GTA missions/story without being too over the top, play this after tho.

The NPCs ain't p*ssy like GTAV npcs is. In 5, i could steal a random person in the face, they get up and run about 70% of the time depending on the part of town. In 4, i steal a random in the face, i get shot. I prefer that fukkery
:russ:I mean shyt. Could you blame em? Just think about the first time you ran up on some unsuspecting person w/ Frank and sock the shyt outta em! Instant:ooh: :huhldup:status

Take away Roman and Niko ain't shyt:manny:
Naw, can't say that. Roman is the catalyst for the whole game happening in the first place. That first mission just pushed him into the direction of the other characters he meets through the story. Plus Roman isn't permeating most of Nikos story arc. Most of Michael's missions are activated by his family, are pointless (aside from him meeting Martin) and don't really advance the story.

Niko's whole existence in the game is because of his cousin, outside of Roman's missions Niko is nothing more than a hitman for current/former drug dealers. IDK if you remember but after the game came out there was major hatred towards Niko, and he was/still is considered by many to be the worst protagonist is GTA history.

You got a point. But that's why I said Roman is the catalyst. But the missions outside of Roman arent just bland missions. Remember the Little Jacob missions, and the story arc that dealt w/ his "comrades" from the war? He had other motives rather than just tryna live The American Dream, he was also trying up loose ends from his past life. It even shows in the missions. I'm not gon let you sit up here and just "Claude" my man's like that
