Cook has been a let down his whole career. Finally had a decent yr with Rodgers. I wish they would've gotten derek Carr a tight end with better upside

Bennett would have been the big impact move,Cook should be able to put up 700 as the 3rd option for them its a solid signing. ive been very surprised with OAK's offseason. they had a lil cash in their pocket and kept it, unless they eventually get AD

Reggie is a cheap fukk, this has been done too many seasons now. Bennett was the move to make but Reggie bullshytted, AP still has something left imo contrary to what some think and Reggie is bullshyttin on that, we need all types of help on defense and we haven't gone after any players that can help us out. We got a bright future and a lot of cap room but Reggie is dead set on not doing shyt.

cant say the team is any better at this point, need a home run draft to maintain the status imo. i could see yall going DL or a 3 down LB in the 1st, with the main focus of the whole draft being front 7. outside of Mack theres not alot there because of Aldon's bullshyt

Exactly right. The offense has it's weaknesses too. A stronger running game would take the pressure off the passing game. But the defense needs everything. It's the more neglected side of the ball but everything can be fixed as long as we make some solid vet signings and draft smart on the defensive side like you said. I can definitely see the Raiders taking a step back if we don't make moves.

The latest reports are that the Saints are pushing to finalize a Butler deal by the end of today. It will be interesting to see if the Patriots get the #11 overall or if it's something less than that.

Cooks for Butler was the original trade and they did a first and Cooks so Saints wouldn't have dead money from Cook's roster bonus. All of this was a wink wink deal.

Patterson & Cook are fringe moves that make sense. Spending money for the sake of spending it doesn't make sense, especially when Carr/Cooper/Mack are all gonna be due for big money extensions starting next off-season.

No one is suggesting any big spending though. Bennett wasn't expensive, neither are AP or Long. Those are all moves that are either low risk high reward or are good signings that help the team out.
