Drake stans was calling Meek a snitch too for exposing that Drake used ghostwriters. They dont live in the same world as the rest of usOh, I thought he was saying Pusha was a snitch by the actual definition of the word. Still, thats a heavy word to throw around in public using it in a figurative sense.

& folks don't take ye seriously on that accountHim comparing his lyrics side by side to Illmatic is drom an MTV interview before the Grammys in 2006 with Ananda Lewis. Him calling himself the greatest is from "Gorgeous".
1. Kanye, like Dr. Dre is a producer 1st and foremost, who ghost produced a hell of a lot of shyt even before he got on as a producer, therefore he's never been seen as an MC. Drake was and is judged as an MC because, well, what else does he do.
2. Kanye's always given credit to everybody who works with him.
3. Kanye's always been crazy and nobody takes him seriously, but mentally ill stans. We like his music, but we know not to listen to his crazy rants
& folks don't take ye seriously on that account
we know he's looney
is aubrey also a mental case¿

There is a world of difference between Dre and Kanye. Dre was never sought after for features. Kanye was. Kanye has claimed top 5 or GOAT seveeal times throughout his career:
Top 5 MCs: you gotta rewind me
I'm high up on the line, you could get behind me--- Kanye West, "Barry Bonds"
There's also this:
![]()
^^^ Kanye is being heralded as an MC alongside Ra, KRS, Biggie, Jay, and Kiss.
Then there's this:
^^^ he didn't produce the track. He's featured and is stuntin like he's in the echelon of these MC's on this song
2. Quentin Miller's name is on the credits to some of the songs he wrote foe Drake. It doesn't make it any less of an offense
3. Kanye is not just some unknown. He has a platform so when he says things people take notice. There are people who actually revere Kanye as an MC and because he's been so outspoken about his music and status, people view him among the greats. Again, this guy did an album with Jay and had people out here saying he got Jay on some of the songs and that Lanye carried the album lyrically. People even say Kanye had a better verse than Nas on "Still Dreaming".
You can't glosa over and dismiss Kanye because he's a producer (especially since artists have sought Kanye more for features than his beats for over a decade). Dude just recently as Pusha's album returned to focusing on production. Kanye is the guy who fathered Drake.
I think this is where you draw the distinction from being a rap/Hip Hop artist and being a rapper...
Jay Z is a rapper
Kanye West is a rap/Hip Hop artist...
Rappers write bars and rap...
Rap/Hip Hop artists perform Hip Hop music....you know...the sing song shyt, rapping, that RnB/Hip Hop hybrid shyt...here you can have the Futures, Travis Scotts and etc...
I don't think Kanye West even ranks as a rapper...even his ghostwriters trash...and he can ruin a song with his corniness...
But as a rap/Hip Hop artist...he might be in there somewhere just of the strength of his discography and impact on Hip Hop music...
Just like Drake might go down as a Hip Hop artist of his generation...I wouldn't rank him as a rapper since he don't write all his shyt...
word as a producer
People do take Kanye West seriously. Everything he says is taken seriously. He makes outlandish statements and they become headline grabbing topics and when he's talking about music, people are especially attentative. You're playing dumb when there's media calling Kanye the most important artist of this generation and you think people are being dismissive because he's so called "looney". Nas just posted on his instagram praising Kanye's genius for the new album.

nah.
like jimmy lovine said - "that's the horse we rode in on"
he should've been a smooth jazz producer if he didn't want any smoke![]()
deadHe credits them down to the nikka that sneezed in the room when the track was made
