It's not that much, but most Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.

Most Americans are not traveling to foreign countries either. We are talking about a subset of Americans who do have the disposable income and the lack of attachments to travel to other countries for women. That subset of American men more than likely do have the savings to easily bypass that modest savings requirement talked about.
