U didn’t like Speed off or The Way You Do It off The Listening? I still think my mix is better than any single album of theirs but The Minstrel Show is prolly the overall better album.

I liked The Way You Do it- observed the Tip rip (inhale) but the ones I posted are my favorites.

Minstrel show got a slight edge over The Listening. I played this to death and still do, every man goes through what they're saying in this.

Minstrel Show is overrated only because it was their major label debut so that’s when a lot of cats started fukking with them.

But the listening is a superior project

I’m surprised it was this close in peoples favs, I thought MS was a ham-fisted in the messaging but att someone and I disagreed on the same topic.

I’ll get around to the rest someday.

Fascinating "The Ministrel Show" was such a let down to me, but others thought it was great. I gassed myself into thinking they were going to really dig into the minstrel show concept on the album. Remember the cover art dropped before anything else. Keep in mind Phonte is a next level pen. Plus so many artists went with darker themes for the second album so I thought they would take it there. I unfairly expected the Little Brother version of "Labcabincalifornia". I'm going to have listen to the album with fresh ears.

And I absolutely would have switched out Joe Scudda for more Median. Or Scudda and Median should have been a group
