Obama is a frustrating pol (was Clinton the same?)
One thing repubs got right is that he is a weak executive
Fortunately for him, Americans keep giving him a pass, they want him to succeed (for their own selfish reasons, not because he is a great leader but to justify their cray, pseudo revolutionary election of an outsider)
if he keeps playing with their emotions...its gonna get ugly :whew:

moron, repubs made him weaker as an executive by stonewalling every legislation he wants to put forward. They want to make him look weak so that they can profit and get reelected to presidency. People like you are reasons why bush was elected twice and why we don't have universal healthcare in this country.

Myself and others like @Type Username Here and @Jello Biafra have pointed out time and time again that OBAMA was never in favor of a single payer or public option..Its obama's and the insurance lobby fault why their is no form of universal healthcare in this country, not repubs

Pushing back forcing people to change their plans until after elections next year, smart move by the dems/Obama. Even though its transparent to people with half a brain.

Also taking full responsibility was a great move by Obama because the dems that will be up for re-election wont have to take much responsibility even though most pushed for the act to go through (blindly) because of their party. Although Im sure repubs will still yell loudly that it is all the dems faults and make it known (whether fair or not). And repubs will act as though the reasons Obamacare is failing is the same reasons they didnt want it, when this is most likely not the truth.

ahh politics..

Not repubs? Even though they had a majority in the house and senate when clinton was in office and trying to get health insurance change done. Republicans acted like they wanted healthcare change but they never actually went through with it because rethugs hate change, even if it's change for the better that they know they should do.

These many ppl have criticized how awful ACA is/will be:

@newworldafro
@fscballin
@DEAD7
@CACtain Planet
@Hiphoplives4eva
@Chris.B

These many people have offered a viable solution without vague details to ACA:

:ohhh:

#wheresthealternative

Most of what these people have done is post articles and videos showing the failure of the process ..... maybe you haven't noticed but left, right, and independent are ALL criticizing this law ... for different reasons, but the criticism is strong from all over

Washington won't let old insurance policies be extended

SEATTLE – Washington state's insurance commissioner says President Obama's proposal on old insurance policeis isn't a good deal for Washington citizens.

Commissioner Mike Kreidler said on Thursday he won't be allowing insurance companies to extend their old policies that didn't meet the requirements of federal health care reform.

An estimated 290,000 Washington residents have received notices that their old insurance policies will be canceled.

Kreidler, a Democrat, says all of them can get better coverage on the new health care exchange. He says at least half of them will qualify for a subsidy to help them pay the premium.

President Obama announced Thursday he would allow insurance companies to keep selling their old plans to people whose policies were going to be cancelled. But that decision requires state approval.

HBCU Bowie State Blames Obamacare for Nixing Student Health Plans
Officials at Bowie State, one of the nation’s oldest historically black colleges, are citing the Affordable Care Act (ACA) as the reason they have cancelled a school-wide affordable health care plan they had offered students.

The Maryland school’s official website explains that Obamacare’s new regulations would force the cost of the insurance to rise from $50 to $900 a semester, reports CampusReform.org.

“Bowie State University has suspended offering health insurance for domestic students for the 2013-2014 academic year,” states the school’s official website. “Due to new requirements of the Affordable Care Act which will go into effect on January 1, 2014, the cost of insurance for domestic students will increase to approximately $1800 per year.”

The student health insurance plan had cost students $50 per semester for the 2012-13 school year, according to a cached page of the university’s description of the plan. The original link to the description has been deleted.

According to an article in The Bulldog Collegian, Bowie State’s official student newspaper, the Director of the Bowie State University Wellness Center said that the university decided it would not be worth it to provide student health insurance at all given how expensive it would be to do so under the new regulations.

The student’s article, published Nov. 10, had slightly different numbers than the school website’s. It states that the student health plan used to cost $54/semester, not $50, and that the new insurance costs would amount to $1,900 per year, not $1,800.

In August of this year, White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest suggested that President Obama would lend special support to the country’s historically black colleges and universities.

Several other colleges and universities, such as community colleges in New Jersey, have also had to cancel student health insurance plans, citing the Affordable Care Act.

Is obamacare cheaper than most healthcare packages offered by companies?

I don't have insurance I just lost it recently.

my job is offering insurance but that shyt is taking like $500 out of my check :dahell:

How much is obamacare? I'm confused :mindblown:
Depends on your income bracket. You may be eligible for a fee waver.

There are fee waivers which pay like 90% of the cost.

I remember reading a report where this woman's premium was only like $240 a year, which comes to about $20 a month.
