I don't think Kidd would be as effective today, part of his legacy is bumped up by going to the finals in what was the worst EC of all time, without those runs yall would be talking about him like Mark Jackson or Rondo.

He has elite rebounding #s among all point guards...trailing only behind Westbrook. 7th in steals. Top in assists. He's undeniably top 10 at his position breh
I thought his numbers from last season were very inflated, mainly by the pace the Kings played at, which like a typical George Karl team was the highest in the league. His 3 point shooting was much improved this season, yes, but his FT shooting was atrocious to point where it made him a liability and it was like that in Boston before he got traded too. His defense is overrated, he plays matador defense trying to gamble for steals and has been skating by on reputation for years. I don't care about his rebounding numbers. If my PG can get boards then that's a nice luxury, but it doesn't make or break my opinion on them. And for all this talk about him being the ultimate floor general, the Kings were the 16th ranked offense this season. Last season without Rondo, they were 16th.
At this point in his career he's a below average starting PG. There's a reason why Boston traded him for backups (at the time) and a late 1st. There's a reason why Dallas let him walk for nothing. There's a reason why the Kings won't commit to bringing him back and have the mindset that he's not even worth getting into a bidding war over.

The second KG fell off that team stunk, that was his team and always was. You're trying to act like they were built around Rondo, they weren't though. We see how he looks without them, he posts numbers that lead nowhere and his teams generally have shytty offenses because of him.
As far as @Malta & @Trill Russell's conversation goes, in 2011-12 I'd say Rondo was the leader of the team but KG was the most important player

The Celtics are my team. I've watched them my entire life and I watched very closely during the Big Three era. Although the team wasn't initially built around him, Rondo by 2011 was running that team. Doc built that team around him and, towards the end of that era, Doc had Pierce and Judas virtually reduced to catch-and-shoot guys. KG was also clearly on the decline. Rondo led that team to the ECF in 2012.
But we can agree to disagree.

Nah Kidd would have Carrol & Ross looking like borderline All stars. Lowry game actually hurts some of the role players.
