I. You could argue 2-3 seasons for Kidd, I simply picked the one where he was basically at his peak as a player + one that was most generous statistically in argument for him.
II. I did mention in my previous post - "Now put all the era-context and the fact we're only a third of the way through the season.aside, and simply look at how great his play is at this moment - this is him at his best". I'm well aware we're not even at the All-Star break yet, I'm just simply trying to illustrate how great Lowry has been playing.
III. Why say Kidd's scoring wasn't his strong suit, like somehow we can't use that in argument for Lowry being a better player?

My point is that season was far from kidds best he was just shooting alot more then normal let's see what that raptors squad is like at the end of the year.

Well you'd be wrong there. It definitely was one of Kidd's best. Especially considering it was the year of one of his Finals' runs, and his play was largely instrumental in that. I went to most of the Nets' home games that season. I think I'd know. Why do we have to wait and see what happens at the end of the season? Lowry already has a sample size large enough (playing at arguably a higher level) to compare his play to Kidd at his best.

I'm not saying it wasn't a good season and obviously kidd made that team go but it wasn't his personal best year. I don't like the way you are trying to frame some of these arguments I will be back at the end of the season we will see where the offense stands then.

Like I said you could argue 2-3 seasons for him. I simply took the one where it was most kindest to him statistically, where he was at his best as the leader and had to deal with teams gameplanning for him on a nightly basis.

What don't you like about them? Obviously there's much, much more to the discussion than just surface stats, I'm just giving a general picture so that folk understand where I'm coming from.

It's unlikely that they'll keep up this pace, for obvious reasons. I think you're missing the point on why I referenced their ORTG.

You are automatically trying to say its kidds best season just because of the ppg when you know thats one of his worst skills. You are taking a small sample size of the season from lowry 23 games when its 82 games in the season adn acting like other things wont come into play. We know teams get fatigued we know little injuries and aches happen during the season we know long road trips like the texas triangle and that cali road trip happen. Teams get bored and disinterested at times and loose focus even the 96 bulls fell into this trap. Cold streaks and blowouts also happen like i said I will wait to the end of the year to check things out.but the point is you are one of the more disingenuous posters with the way you frame arguments.

If peak Kidd couldn't shoot the three or finish at the rim, he would struggle in today's league Rondo or Rubio style honestly. You gotta be good at one of those areas at least. Can't be bad in both.

Breh the Raptors won 8 of their last 9... at least 4 of those we're won by Lowry taking over the game in scoring :manny:

Not only that he has a competent backup so he doesn't have the ball in his hands the whole game. He even plays off ball and catches- shoots a lot of the time because he isn't even the first option :mindblown:

Not to mention he's the best defender on the whole fukking team :lolbron:

Jason Kidd was never this cold.

That's why I said Suns and Nets Kidd lol.

He couldn't shoot for shyt when he first came in but his shot later developed down the line. He never shot the ball like Nash could but you can't leave kidd open like if he's rubio or rondo
