*asks myself*
Well, see I don't want less games. I'm against the 18 game schedule because it would be detrimental to the quality of those games due to the injurious nature of the sport.
And because the games would be less interesting. With 18 instead of 16... now each games means that much less.
What if it were 20? What if it were 22? The more games you play... the less and less consequential each game becomes. Oh my team started out 0-3? Pfft. Plenty of time!
That's the type of attitude that makes games less must see. If I don't care about the outcome so much, I could talk myself into missing it. Who wants to watch an exhibition anyway?
The NBA has EIGHTY TWO games. I'm sorry that's too much. This is why players get injured all the time. It sucks man cause there's always key players getting injured or some great player's career cut short. Injuries are a problem in the NBA too.
And because there's so many games, they become less important. A game in mid December no matter who's playing means NOTHING because it doesn't matter to either team.
But if they were both clawing for a playoff spot in a shortened season, and a real shot to compete for a championship... okay. Now I'm in. Now I wanna watch.
