In the least surprising news of 2020, Nas' thirteenth studio album 'King's Disease' has won the Coli's Album of the Year accolade!

Released at the tail end of the summer, 'King's Disease' is a bright and nostalgic affair, touching on subjects as varied as his upbringing in the notorious Queensbridge Projects, admonishing Doja Cat and Gayle King and alleviating the effects of gout. Athough Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones taps in with new school upstarts such as Lil' Dirk, Don Toliver and Anderson. Paak to help recount his laments in life and love, the album's highlight "Full Circle" features an unexpected, yet gratifying reunion with Nas' old friends, the once hyped hip hop supergroup The Firm. (Sans Nature)
Produced entirely by Hit-Boy, the 13 track Grammy nominated LP was a hit with most critics, some citing it a return to the creative and introspective best after the disappointing 2018 albim 'Nasir' and calling it "his most satisfying project in close to a decade."
All in all, a worthy winner of this coveted prize. Salute to Nas!

We also shouldn't forget to mention the other nominees. They may not have won this prestigious award, but they all provided some much needed respite in this, the most tumultuous of years:
2nd Place:
Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist - Alfredo
3rd:
Conway the Machine - From King To God
