Tbh, it's probably a bit subjective depending on your measuring stick. The book sells 33k a month with a fanbase that probably consists largely of young girls and their soccer moms, so to attract and retain that audience monthly probably is a success. idk

I'm not sure what you're talking about... well i do from a technical standpoint -a brief history of no more batgirling- i'm just indifferent to it b/c there wasn't a point of contention there.

i.e. The poor reception and sales to some of the DCU initiative had tin foil hat fans running wild with the no more bat girling rumors thinkin the sky was falling on the whole initiative. Other ppl were telling them to STFU b/c with Star Wars and Secret Wars, they felt Marvel was going to be dominating sales regardless and the sky wasn't falling. I don't believe Marvel's stronghold on sales will dip with ANAD or that reception will be that bad months in or that they'll be any "no more spider-gwening" troll rumors that pick up steam as a result. That was the crux of what i was talking about.

You take Star Wars out of the mix and DC would have probably beaten Marvel in terms of market share in September...people seem to have this idea that the entire post-Convergence thing was this colossal failure for DC which it wasn't.

To be fair Marvel didn't publish a bunch of their biggest books in September. Its pretty sad DC didn't win that month
