Right now, I'm counting my blessings.

I realized I worked harder than I ever did in my whole life in the course of one year last year.
Right now where I'm living is literally a block and a half away from where I was sleeping in a car last year around this exact same time.

Like I really had to work my ass off to get to this point.
I used my laptop to go use BK and McD's internet to find work and make money
I saved money by sleeping in my car and when I would go to the YMCA for a night or two to sleep in a bed and have a shower and clean up.
I did odd jobs for a while then I found work with the SPLC in Manhattan.
Then I found work at an insurance firm on wall street, and used the internet at BK and McD's again to take my online testing to get myself registered for the state exam which I passed to get my license which is good for two years so now I'm a licensed insurance broker.
I got invested in my own clothing designs again and through some luck and knowing the right people was able to rent out a retail spot for two weeks to do a pop-up shop for my clothing designs. Made money and got press and went to fashion week events.
Worked that into a spot in Jackson heights and now I'm living in Bushwick...

I still can't believe I went from being homeless...to working on wall street...to owning and operating my own shop and business in less than a year.

I'll admit, there were times I literally felt like giving up. I was dealing with depression at the time too and my changing living situations combined with work and money situations really affected my mood. But I had to push through it cause I knew it would help me out.

I had no help from my parents...whatsoever. I slept on a few friends couches too.

All and all it was fun...now that I'm typing this on my new laptop and have all my stuff together in one apartment my mental health and physical health has definitely improved.

But damn...what a year! :whew:

Upped!

Day 10. yeah I missed 8 and 9 cause I partied hard last night. :whew:

Figures this thread should be a mainstay with all of the redundant TLR material that's clogging the front page these days.

I developed a four step plan for myself to enter beastmode this time last year. It's a pretty easy method and when I have had this shyt popping, it's led to some pretty good times for me. I can only imagine it would work for you too. Its simple:

Gym x NoFap x Meditation x Yoga.

The process is like a machine though. All four need to be working and turning for it to work. All the cogs need to be moving. Seriously. I have had times when three of four are banging and the whole thing falls off. A lot of the time I be in the gym, I'm kicking meditation every day. I attend my yoga classes but I'm fapping and the shyt does not work.

Similarly, I be on a decent nofap streak, I'm kicking meditation everyday but I aint in the gym due to a busy schedule and I just feel flabby and fall off. It's stress. I haven't actually had this shyt all working myself for a few months I've been wrestling with myself a lot lately.

But yo, when this shyt is all working smoothly :wow: Try this shyt. Thank me later.

Once upon a time when I was doing yoga heavy (going to classes 4 times a week) I was so close to becoming an instructor. I did my 100 hours and all of my worksheets but when it came time to pony up $2000 to get the certification thing going, I had to bow out cause I was a broke boi at the time. LOL.

Yeah one of my closest boys, his girl went to Bali to do the whole thing. She came back a Zen Master. It's a growing thing especially here in the UK, you could make a packet off it if you did it well.

Do you get a lot of sales from there?
It's pretty much I get a good amount of online sales, but in all honesty most of my stuff gets bought up immediately by people I know here and around NYC as soon as it comes in. I can barely hold onto it long enough and I end up having to restock sooner than I thought. Right now I probably have more demand for my products as supposed to the actual products I have in stock now. LOL.

Do you have any tips for setting goals? I have been told more than once that setting goals is a key to improvement. @1984

My piano teacher has a vision board (like in The Secret) and he's got pictures of all the shyt he wants.

I had something similar, I had a noticeboard with all types of shyt on there. I had my weekly duties, my code of ethics (yeah, I had one lol), my short term goals, and my long term goals - including things I wanted to learn.

If in doubt, write things down. Write everything down.

My tips?

Always set goals. Always. Always stay motivated.
Always right them down (I meant that typo...as in try to get everything right as far as following your goals is concerned...set a goal, write it down, try to achieve it through any means neccessary).
Always do things within your capabilities and within your realistic frame of reference and reach.
