I think women like having projects. I can't tell you the number of women I've gone on dates with who tried to judge me for lacking ambition. One in particular was close to 40 working as a cashier at walmart. She said she's going to school currently getting her degree. I asked her plan after that and she said she then wants to get a master's. Tried to say I wasn't shyt because I said I'm at a comfortable enough of a job that I'm more focused on enjoying life than moving up. Called me a loser for that ignoring that I'm making right at 6 figures, 5 weeks vacation, working 20-30 hours a week but somehow lack ambition because I've already worked my way to the lifestyle and job I want.

For all I know the dude had large earning potential and she knew it was a good investment.

Take Charlie Wilson wife as an example. She rescued a man who was an ex entertainer homeless drug addict living on the street. Cleaned him up gave him a place to stay. He goes on to be even more rich and famous than he was before. On her part that was one hell of an investment. shyt was like buying 100 bitcoins at 200 dollars a piece and selling them at 19k a piece years later.

Second why are folks even suprised by this shyt. Like we don't know men and women in real life who buy their mates (yes I said buy). Like their aint a bunch of old dudes who bought some young girl who eventually became his wife. Or some avg female who was punching above her weight dating some dude who she bought (and eventually married).

They priced themselves out of the market, which means their product is not moving. Asian and White women are more practical overall, because they know what the market will bear. African and Caribbean women appear to be more practical as well.

So I can’t assign 50% of the blame towards black men for diminishing marriage rates, but y’all are supposed to be leaders? Leaders, much like football QBs (for example) have to carry a large part of the burden. You can’t expect all of the glory, but neglect all of the responsibility to get there.

I swear I’m not trying to down BM, but what market have black women priced themselves out of? We’ve been so understanding of how racism impacts black men, that we have collectively neglected our own best interest. And if every other ethnic group, including non ADOS, have higher incomes & wealth than ours, how can you possibly call their mates more practical? It would seem like the women in those communities require more, if we’re specifically talking about financials.

Men are not the gate keepers to romantic situations. I just wish women were more discerning. And I do hold men to a higher standard. You're never in the threads where I talk about the need for men to make progression and self betterment a goal. But maybe that's not your bag.
