Yep they still together. They been together for years too. When he first came back out in the industry some of the fans got on him cause his wife was white.

But once he told his story the fans left it alone cause they all knew that woman saved his life. If it wasn't for her charlie would be dead and the only memories of him would be songs with the gap band.

Charlie basically said that folks in the industry and who he was running with were doing coke and crack. Getting high was encouraged and he started using but thought he could control it. Next thing you know he was a dope fiend homeless and living on the streets of LA (if I remember correctly). He tried to quit multiple times but never could.

Charlie ends up in a rehab center and the lady who eneded up being his wife was the doctor there. She worked with him at the rehab center and got him clean (even going so far as getting him clothes and a place to stay). After he was clean he went back to music and tried to pay her back. She wouldn't take any money from him for the help she gave and he said at that moment he knew that she really in her heart cared for him.

Hell me myself married my college sweetheart. Guess what her sister married her college sweetheart who is actually one of my boys from college. We were dating two sisters in college that ended up being our wives.

Next as a black professional most of the black people I deal with are married...brace your self....to other black people. Not only that but most of the young black professionals 25 to 35 are married also to other black people.
