Infact you can see a lot of unwarranted bitterness and hate in this thread :umad:

All I can say is....

big up corny songs because of your agenda brehs.

You wouldn't say shyt if this was just a macklemore song. We all know that's true.

That's your problem. You latch onto anything to make it sound like you're so authentic but you're a fukknig fraud.

Did you big up Mack's previous efforts?

I highly doubt it.

in the murder capital where we murda for capital
if they made the song shorter i could fukk with it, i like the part the 3 old heads did and a few of the mack rhymes, chorus is ... ehhh, i dunno, i like it, but maybe if it was on a pop song or rock song id enjoy it more, i cant hate on anyone, i got no time for that bullshyt, i respect anyone in any lane trying to get theirs and therefore i respect macklemore for trying to fuse together a bunch of different shyt into one song and make it a hit, if i listen to a macklemore song its mainly for ryan lewis production, who id like to hear other rappers get on but it seems like they a duo, in closing, i give the track a 10/10 for creativity, a 6 out of 10 for listenability and a 9 out of 10 for production, #fukkmopeds

This song was such a failure it pretty much ended his career as an artist.

And it was wack as hell.

he was a bit too early in hindsight. he was checking all the boxes : white rapper, gay friendly, sneakerhead. he had some big radio songs and getting major promo

if he would have came into the industry now theyd be promoting the fukk out of him. to be honest he probably had nothing left to offer since he had a few hits on his debut :manny:

i know he was on some anti drugs wave due to past addicition and i think her relapsed on pills when his career took off. lets be honest though the rap game wrote him off once he posted that apology text to kendrick for winning the grammy lmao

like drake said, why the fukk would you do that? nobody would do it for you :dead:

honestly...i don't even think he was ahead of his time. Thriftshop went DIAMOND breh. If this song was just better it probably sells 5-6 million too, people were ready for more Macklemore and Ryan Lewis but this shyt just bricked.

He makes a better single we're probably still hearing more about his music than the Bogey Boys clothing line.

I read this and agreed with you 100%. Then I checked Spotify and he still has 24 million monthly listeners. This terrible song actually has 350 million streams :wow:
He even has songs after this with over half a billion streams. One nearly a billion :wow:
I guess he went full pop? I don’t blame him either. He tried to keep it real and pay homage and hip hop didn’t give a single fukk about it. :dead:
