The homos I saw in Atlanta were FLAMBOYANT. Like wearing dresses, lipstick and high heels. I saw this 6"7 big swole muthafukka in a summer dress in Lenox Mall I haven't saw nothing like that in D.C.

I see them everywhere. A week or 2 ago I was at a metro station waitin on the train when I noticed a "woman" in a short dress wit a low cut breastline eyeing me down, a split second of eye contact was all I needed to realize something wasn't right, I automatically knew it was a dude. So I walked halfway down the platform tryin to keep from ending up in the same car as whatever it was but just as the train arrived it walked down the platform and got in the same car as me thru the other doors. That was the most uncomfortable train ride ever, I was standing in a corner towards the front of the car but every time I looked up that mafucca was lookin at me, ain't even like it would look away whenever I looked up, it was straight up blatant wit the shyt.

I don't go to Lenox much when I was in Atlanta so I rarely saw gays. They mainly around Lenox and Piedmont so I didn't ever see them like that. In DC, they are unavoidable. They are in Georgetown, Morgan Adams, PG Co and MoCo. I don't see them much in Fairfax.

DC is lacking a good skyline, real downtown feel, and restaurants - i don't know how a city with so much money and so many high rollers has such a poor restaurant scene. other than that, it's definitely one of my favorite 2-3 cities in the US

DC definitely lacks good barbers and very good eatery. Numerous places kick their ass in terms of food. Go to Lafayette, LA. Best food ever!

No they don't keep it spotless. Go to the red line brehs. Maybe the Silver and yellow line where the cacs be in spotless. I will say tho, the Metro is generally up-kept to a degree.


While the cost of living is higher, the pay don't match it. Not at all. You got those combining a 110k paying 400-500k for a house. Sometimes those combining 200k in a 750k house. Ugh.

I rather live in Bowie, get a 300-350k house with a good down pymt and live with my ppls but hate the idea of spending 10k a yr for private school. HATE IT!

The A might have DC on cost of living but thats it. ANd like everybody's saying DC makes up for that by how much you get paid there vs other places. SO ppl in general are able to afford that higher cost of living. shyt balances out.

Plus DC is chocolate just like the Atl except the Blacks in DC are cut from a whole different cloth than Blacks in the A.

DC aint got nowhere near Atlanta's collective levels of ignorance and Black male fakkits.

Naw, Atlanta most def have some clear advantages over DC and it ain't just cost of living. It's about 3-5 other things as well. DC is a 4.5 star city and it's probably the only 4.5 star city for Blacks in America. Every other city is a 4 and lower. In some cases, much lower.

With that said, DC is extremely unkind to the poor. That's where Atlanta kicks it's ass. You can be down on your luck in ATL and get away with it while scheming to a degree. You can't really do that in DC as easily unless you from there.

can houston and charlotte compete with dc and atlanta? or are they not on that level yet?

I rated all of these cities in the top 5 for AA's.

Houston is a 3.5 star Black city with Atlanta being better to a degree.

Charlotte tied for 3 star Black city with LA.

Charlotte has several hot spots for Blacks. There is this suburb where a lot of the middle class Blacks live, @Family Man know the name of it. Employment is scarce and there isn't much of a nightlife. Small town feel with big city amenities. Good overall city for Blacks. Not very good and no city is great for us but it's a good city.

Houston has advantages and clear disadvantages. It's a nice city for Blacks and a lot of Blacks from other parts of the South like it there. Is it fair to Blacks, nope! But it has it's advantages. Honestly, the most business friendly city to Blacks in Texas is Austin while not being too good to Blacks in general. Because of that, many Blacks don't like it but them checks are reasonable for educated brothas and sistas. Houston is hard for Blacks if you not in the main fields. It's backwards and unless you Nigerian, you don't have a strong clan to fall back on there. You can say that about just about every city... the clan part. Houston is still a nice city and a 3.5 city so it's worth the move if you got a strong option.

Because DC is so expensive and the women suck(men do too ladies), the best plan would be come here to start your career, get exp. Move to a city more adjacent to your lifestyle and leave. White folks do it all the time. Like ALL THE TIME. But since Blacks don't have many great city options, they tend to stay unless they get married and move or can't afford it and leave. This is not a city for the poor. You can get away with it to a small degree in GA but forget it if you think you gonna be broke in DC. You can't even be homeless comfortably here.

Dating, it's much better in Atlanta. All types of women. In DC, most of the women are garbage. Dump and Pump status depending on your age. I can't lie, I can only speak from the attractive dating pool, I don't really deal with women I don't find attractive.

As a professional, depends on the money and if that's correct it's DC all day. You can negotiate, you can market, and you can really network. No bullshyt mixers where no one has any power which is a waste of time.

Atlanta is better for making a less income without question. More stability even if you working a dead end job. DC has no stability in terms of living standards.

• Gentrification is pushing alot of locals into MD, but on the other hand, the city has a bright future. Take one drive around the city and there's construction going on every other block.
• GOAT public transportation. You really don't need a car if you live in the city.
