But "Trap Lord" was way better and has more life than Rocky's "debut" album.
Now Rocky first mixtape is a good debate between the two. But Ferg definitely had a more quality project with "Trap Lord".
"Trap Lord" is actually pretty fukkin good
The listening and The Minstrel Show was released on ABB.
The Minstrel Show was Distributed through Atlantic.
How are they industry plants again? I don't get it....they came up as organically as any other indie hip hop group and we're often overlooked cause they weren't on that dirty south tip that was popping back then in the mid 00s.

Whats the difference between a plant and someone signed to a major label?
Anyway Flatbush Zombies/Underachievers/Pro Era IF they are signed...
The listening came out in 2002...so everything you just said is null and void. That was before MySpace YouTube and any of that social media...9th made beats on Fruity Loops and they pitched their music via social media like every other artist until they found a major, including Lana Del Ray aka Lizzie another plant who also used her dads connections. Her first album was on indie as well. Their 2nd album, Minstrel Shoe, was with Atlantic with hopes of being the Great White Hope of conscious rap that didnt quite pan out but laid the grown work for Kendrick and JColes halfway deep backpacking demographic. 9th was a family man and too old to tour not to mention making real money producing major artists and they broke up over typical diva shyt. If you are referring to Chitlin Circuit as the album after The Listening, that was a Mixtape. These dudes are not Jean Grae who remains indy and authentic to this day. Below is an in depth article from a local Durham NC reputable paper:

And months before The Minstrel Show was released, Atlantic Records flew 9th Wonder to London for one day to do press behind the record and, ostensibly, to perform with Little Brother for a night. Pooh and Phonte wouldn't have it. The second he climbed onstage they knew audiences from Omaha to Belfast would start demanding the original trio. They banned him from the show.
"That's just kind of a recurring thing that we had with him—'Dude, you're either in this shyt all the way, or it's nothing,'" says Phonte. "If you're going to tour, you got to tour. I don't have that luxury. Pooh don't have that luxury. It was nothing that was meant to hurt his feelings. It was just a business decision."
Bruh, okayplayer started in 1999 where Little Brother garnered their following, this is also where Phonte collaborated with Euro Dj/producer Nicolay creating Foreign Exchange. That is still social media through chats and forums. The listening came out in 2002...so everything you just said is null and void. That was before MySpace YouTube and any of that social media...
