Because society values thin and in shape women for the most part and it's still looked at as embarrassing to be attracted to fat women.

I don't care about people that like fat women as long as they don't become strong enough to influence too many women into not caring about their weight. It's a good thing that liking fat women isn't the norm.

You can't help finding something attractive but what do you do about it?

I watched a documentary years back. This guy had a thing for hairy chicks. We'll add something "normal" in brackets to see when it gets weird.

This guy had a thing for women with a lot of body hair (women with natural hair).

He approached this girl in the mall who had noticeable hair on her arms (thick natural hair) because he found her attractive.

They started dating and were together for a while. But after some months he realised she wasn't hairy enough for him (her hair wasn't natural enough).

So he decided to travel to countries where the women were hairier (had more natural hair) so he can find someone who could meet this need.

That's a fetish.

It's not about the person, it's about you. Their characteristic becomes your high.

But you raise a valid point. Humans to a point objectify what they find sexually attractive, a fetish is just one step further.

Yes you can.

You may not be able to control what you're attracted to but you can control the process of falling in love. You fall in love because you act on that attraction i.e - going on dates, more frequent sex and communication etc. People who say they can't help who they fall in love with are losers looking for a cop-out. Thats the type of shyt people also say when they 'fall in love' with toxic individuals and get a bad treatment.
