Honestly it's because to me there's no reason that your woman should be fat, unless she's working in a lucrative career and just too exhausted to work out. If you can't inspire your woman to get herself in the gym and improve her health there is something wrong with you and I really just can't mentally understand viewing an unhealthy person as attractive unless you're unhealthy yourself.

Well....it depends on factors like race, location, etc.

Its well known Hispanic and black men tend to prefer thicker women more so than white and Asian men. So in the black community, thick to obese black women can eat well and not get shamed.

Then in the South, thick/obese black women and overweight/obese men can get play easier than in CA, LA and Hollywood in particular...where everyone needs to be swimsuit and wifebeater/shirtless ready.

In come areas/communities, some men get that :hhh: , :francis:, :lolbron:or :dwillhuh: looks when dating women who are thought of as lower tiered or less than according to the attractiveness standards and that includes unattractive/ugly, fat/obese, ill built, bummy, etc. Some men police other men, particularly their homies or associates about who they fukin...not sure but this is the case. If u talking to, fukin or dating a girl who ur boys may not deem attractive or fukable...then they could look down on u. This sometimes goes for females as well (especially younger females and the superficial ones who cares what others think). They like to date men that their friends deem attractive and top tiered (social status/skills, gainfully employed, provider, splurger, etc.)

Its about pleasing ur friends and family and having someone on ur arms as "bragable"...but it shouldn't be like this. U should be with the one who has ur best interest, who YOU find attractive, and who has shyt to bring to the table so they can add value to ur life.

And I think if ur woman starts to become too heavy and it looks unhealthy...then u should persuade or even better..encourage her to work out and implement better nutrition. This is beneficial also if yall have kids so yall can be better equipped to be around and be mobile for them.

I live in Ohio which is a Somali stronghold, but I'm always curious of how my people are perceived out of the states:ohhh:, what's your view so far?

I can only compare you to what I know and I would base all my observations on the coli which means most of what I perceive as AA culture via observations on TLR would be inaccurate because there are apparently very many non AA's on here and I don't know the difference. Also because it's "the locker room" there's a lot of non polite conversation about women which makes it a very narrow view heavily skewed toward guy talk.

It's nonsense data.

But what I will say is that a very noticeable difference between AA and just A is reservation and saving face. I think for most Africans (or maybe it's just Somalis) there's unpaid moral police and the community rumor mill. It's a self correcting, self policing system for men and women, boys and girls, fathers and mothers etc.

So that means people within that community follow the rules generally in order to save face (reputation) theirs and their family's. The rules then are general standards of good and bad, right and wrong, shame and pride. Not always universal definitions for good/bad etc, but rules for the community nonetheless, some of which may evolve with time. The point when they start to matter is marriage when the family reputation has a value.

I guess you probably have a similar thing but it's not noticeable. The rules don't seem to be similar to Africans. I'll probably get negged for this but some of your rules seem more like white people (individualist i.e I'll do what I will, stay out of my way) and not as long term view which is similar to a lot of non Asian cultures i.e live in and for the moment.

But you do have your own rules like I say but I guess you maybe don't have the system to police each other or the threat of being shunned in quite the same way. Things that Africans consider "bad" are normalised like having a baby outside of marriage.

You are also more creative as a community. Everything you touch becomes more alluring. Maybe it's a confidence thing, maybe it's the survival instinct, there's just something that seems unbreakable when you think of the AA community.

It's a shame that you consider USA home, it is your birth right but so is Africa. Would be cool if West African countries formed a union and bestowed birthright citizenship like Israel.

Anyway I'm done rambling.

What exactly constitutes being fat.... because someone can be healthy and in good shape despite being deemed obese by BMI standards. Looking a certain way doesn't mean one is healthy either. :ld:

Are you fat?
No, I'm in the best shape of my life actually. Ask nikkas in The Gym subforum about me, I just launched a Youtube fitness channel.

But I still love a soft curvy woman with dents. You look at women like Ashley Graham, Kimberly Locke, they are always with some dude in really good shape. How do you explain that? :jbhmm:
