Exactly. If teams didn't buy players out, there wouldn't be a problem. They want to buy a player out and be able to decide where he goes. There doesn't need to be any reformHow about they start with not buying players out
Lmao nikkas clown the NFL for bein strict but these other leagues lowkey wish they had the structure of itExactly. If teams didn't buy players out, there wouldn't be a problem. They want to buy a player out and be able to decide where he goes. There doesn't need to be any reform
Blake/Aldridge/Drummond were extremely available if someone wanted them.
Not sure if they're actually upset at the system or more upset that a team formed and out-Lakered the Lakers. There's never been this much anger before at that LA team getting whatever they want, whenever they want it through trade, free agency, didn't matter
The system has always existed and benefitted nobody but title contenders, why are we having talks now
Not to mention, buy out names were rumored for how long? Cavs, Pistons could've easily said no to the buy out or someone else could've traded for those players and blocked Nets/Lakers from getting players.
Besides, I thought these dudes were washed...so what's the problem?
But then they get sent home and don’t play. How about they start with not buying players out
Blake's contract was too much of an albatross, so I can understand why teams didn't want to trade for him. Now Aldridge and Drummond are a different story as teams could have given up the assets and contracts to match in the trade if they really wanted to do so. Even Dallas traded for JJ Redikk instead of taking the chance and waiting for him to be bought out. If you want a player bad enough, then you'll find a way to get him.
With that being said, both teams and players are culpable for the buyout market being the way that it is in its current format.
Every single one of them was called bums or washed before they joined the team they joined tooBlake/Aldridge/Drummond were extremely available if someone wanted them.

GMs need to do their jobs instead of stealing money. In the modern NBA the players do more recruiting and future planning than management.
