They had a plan for Zion to play 3 minute spurts and they stuck with it. I don't have a problem with it. I'm sure the players and staff have seen what Zion can do in practice and during preseason. My issue with the Pelicans is them trying to get in the playoffs when they should have taken this season off to develop their young guys.

I think that was initially the plan until they realized they were 3 games out the 8th seed this deep into the season. There was alot of load management going on earlier in the season.

If you a Pelicans fan who actually watches them game in, game out then cool - not coming at you, I have these feelings about coach of my own team Mike Malone as a Nuggets fan too. I'm talking about those who haven't watched a Pel's game all year who are now gonna constantly be going at Gentry with the same tired things they say about all black coaches cause he listened to management.

Main thing that gets me is you KNOW these the same reactionary fools who blame the Warriors for KD's injury. Wanted to read some decent discussion on this debut but all the usual spots got all these wannabe Skip Baylesses out here with the hot takes.
