Yesterday was day 175 of 10k steps daily.

I just changed my goal in the Fitbit app to 7k. I'll still aim for 10 most days, but won't feel as bad if I don't hit it. It's too fukking cold right now, and that walking pad, while convenient, makes me miserable when I got it in my head that I need to use it for a certain amount of time to reach my goal.

Numerous studies show that 7k and 10k basically give you the same benefits anyway so I'll stick with this for a little bit until it warms back up.

10K is my floor for any type of exercise.

Can’t get to the gym? Cool, but I gotta get st least 10K steps and 20 mins of jump rope.

Something is better than nothing
how long does it take you to do the 10? i walk/jog 3 miles daily, which is 6000 steps, and by day's end i'm close to 10.

Hmm, hard to say. The 10K steps are built into my daily routine…

-I get about 2K in the morning at the gym just walking to and from machines, weights etc.

-Another 1K on my morning commute walking to the bus and then to the office.

-Maybe another 2-3K in the office throughout the day. I usually take a 10-15min walk after lunch.

-4K on my evening commute - 25min walk to the bus terminal back home.

-Then a final 1K after dinner
