Cleveland clearly has a direction right now. I mean... all teams screw up, but they've righted the ship much faster than other teams that were in similar positions and managed to do so without having to lose any significant assets.I just don't see Bron taking a step back to go to a franchise with no direction vs. a franchise he's been to 4 straight Finals with. Everybody opted out to renegotiate and possibly re up at less than their value, I don't see why it's unreasonable to see it happen again. And you say everybody is gettin better, but if the same exact MIA team comes back next yr they're still far & away the best team in the East and still a top 2 or 3 team in the league. I would rather take the next 2 years knowing I will absolutely contend than play the guessing game in CLE for a few years b/c they have "talent & cap space"
It'd be different if LBJ was in a Lakers type situation - where they turned guys like Odom into key players, won while developing all-star talents in Bynum, gave shape to guys like Ariza. Miami has none of that. All they can do is hope guys take paycuts. Which wouldn't be so bad if they weren't so loyal to dead weight like Wade.
