That's that I'm talking about. The Wolves are probably trying to get the Lakers involved to avoid having to max out Klay to keep him. The reports are that Minny wanted Klay out of the Love trade if it involved GS but then those reports that Klay felt he could get a max out of Minny probably changed their minds on that.
Minny could just do the Boston deal & not bring over Lee's contract & probably the worst part about it for them would be they have to keep the Martin contract. The only real benefit for Minny in this trade is getting out from under that Martin deal.

Flip hasn't even so much as contacted Exum or his people, and he couldn't swear they're trying to make the playoffs while drafting a third string center who won't play next year and when he comes back, may only have Ricky for a year.Exactly!

I was thinking they'd be able to unload Martin and Barea contracts in a Love deal, and also get an expiring back. Wouldn't that give them enough space?

Whatever money they free up from Love would mostly go to Rubio (God willing), but they'd probably in some way or another have to take back a less desirable deal to make the money work.
