We'll see, if he goes back I can't see them winning a title in the near future though.

Wade is done as a high impact player, but they're going to pay him like one.

He's smart enough to know that. Does anyone think he wants to go back there at 30 and carry the team all season, logging heavy minutes every night while Wade sits out 30 games again?

Danny Ainge also messed them up. Heat liked Avery Bradley as another young kid who can come in and shore up their perimeter defense... just not at $8 million per season.

The Heat are looking at players way out of their price range and expecting some of them to leave massive amounts of money on the table.

I don't think it's out of spite, but it damn well could be a calculated move to inflate the market. Stan Van Gully wants to win now and the Meeks signing helped his team and hurt the best team in the East. He may have set off a series of moves that change the balance of power in the East.

Looks like Isaiah Thomas is gone and USA Today just reported that Collison was signed to be the starting PG.

Well, Ariza played really well in 2013 when Wall got back from injury.

He continued the trend all season and into the postseason.

When he signed with Houston in 2009, he went to a team that asked him to be the a creator and primary scorer... he couldn't do that. It was much different than just playing defense and spotting up for shots from Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol or getting assists from them through cuts to the rim.

In Washington, he has a PG and a big man in Nene who can make the right reads so he doesn't have to put the ball on the floor as much.

I don't think the Wizards should pay him more than what he got last year and I think Otto Porter can fill the role albeit at a drop off. But that kid has to play.

I'd rather use the MLE on a PF and call it an offseason. And also hope we can find a young PG behind Andre Miller who can push the pace...
