Also not sure how I feel about Fluker. Guy is potentially a bust so I'm not sure why they would sign him. Maybe for some competition in camp he'll start to come around.

"High risk, high reward" Fluker has a chance to turn his career around. Prove he's not a bust, change of scenery etc. Reese loves those types of free agents. Reminds me of the Curry dude linebacker from Seattle that was a major bust. He played well for us.

Major mistake not getting a LT free agency

They never had the money to pay an LT in free agency. And honestly, after the last offseason, and the way the roster is trending, they're better off trying to stack the OL in this and the next draft. Build the line through youth.

we're gonna lose hankins arent we? :mjcry:

Yeah probably. Unless he comes back on a one year deal for nothing.

.

Problem is this is a win now team and you don't know how much longer Eli has left.

Building through the draft is gonna take a few years to get the line better even if they pan out. So this year u know that line is gonna prevent any super bowl runs once again

It's not really a win-now team anymore. Eli is clearly a win-now guy.... but the rest of our best players are on the younger side: OBJ, Sterling, Landon, Dorian/Adams, Apple, Snacks, Vernon, Pugh, Richburg, perk, etc etc etc You can bolster the line with talented rookies(first two rounds?), and maybe a vet flier on a good deal -- then Give eli a discounted vet receiver, and see what he can do this year -- while also preparing for longer-term success.

They were fully rebuilding last summer, and this summer they're win now? :patrice:

Win now because of the qb. If your qb dramatically falls off then that kills your chances to win

And getting a new qb is one of the hardest things to find in sports

Gotta take advantage of having a good qb while u can because u never know how long it's gonna take to find another one

I'm not so sure the G Men shouldn't consider a RB in this draft.

Not saying early, but depending on who's available ....

I actually think Joe Mixon would be a great fit in New York.

The Giants have a solid WR core right now with Beckham, Shepard and Marshall.

Adding a back like Mixon who could serve as a good receiver out of the backfield would give the Giants that Tiki Barber-type player they've been missing.

I wonder if they're contemplating moving Flowers to RG and getting another Tackle in the Draft. Maybe the inside of the line is better for him, since he seems to be more of a gritty dude.

I think if they grabbed Ramczyk or Bolles -- flowers would eventually get moved to right tackle. I think he'd have to fail there before he ended up at guard.

But I'll say, even though his year was ugly, the dude is SO young, and he actually made improvements this season. I'd love it if he went to Bentley's lineman camp with the rest of the OL guys.
