the problem is that youre underestimating what the republicans and their state propaganda machine Fox News are gonna be able to do to a candidate who describes himself as a democratic socialist. look at how warren completely disentigrated after slight pressure on the tab for M4A. shes fukkin finished

for the record, im just saying this with the economy today = the economy in nov 2020. if it tanks between now and then the democrats could run karl marx and win :heh:
Republicans will call any dem candidate a socialist. They even called Obama and Hillary socialists when they are both extremely pro markets. Bernie will have a much better chance winning in the rust belt than someone like Biden. Trump is going rip Biden apart when it comes to trade. Biden supported the original NAFT, and TPP. Both are extremely unpopular in the Mid West. Bernie has a good record on trade, and his populism will play well there. Bernie will struggle in other areas. I think Bernie will have a harder time in places like FL, NC, and even Virginia. All of the Democratic candidates are extremely flawed, and there really is not a great candidate out there. Some are just more flawed than others.

To be fair @goatmane account of the media telling Bernie to drop out is correct. However, most of the Liz supporters in this thread said that was silly. I’m still amazed at the amount of hate Liz gets. Her campaign is currently in the mud and people still want to shyt on her everyday.

I honestly don't remember seeing any mainstream media figures or networks saying Bernie should drop out. Who was saying this? Nap doesn't count. Bernie was being blacked out, not attacked.

its not about that. the most exciting thing about the 2020 election is gonna be the ability to send trump home and kick him the fukk outta the white house. you think the young liberal vote isnt DYING to do that already :dahell: ? biden just needs a youthful VP. id say tulsi if she wasnt such a weird russian asset :mjlol:

meanwhile the swing states, ohio, florida, pennsylvania, michigan, are BEGGING for an alternative to trump thats not a communist :yeshrug: its crazy to me that you guys think this country would do a 180 from trump in 2020. the gradual biden shift seems more plausible

Trump is bad, blue no matter who is NOT going to be enough. Not that many people, especially young liberals are being directly affected by Trump for them to buy into the scare tactics as the only reason to get active. You gotta get swing votes, and not just the ones who don't buy into the two party bullshyt...but the ones who are disillusioned with the political process all together. Sanders and to a lesser extent Yang are the most likely candidates to actually reach those people, as well as flipping some of the Obama/Trump voters back to 'our' side.

You want to beat trump you need his antithesis, not lesser version of Hilary.

I didn’t remember hearing any well know mainstream host say he should drop out, but there were several guests on CNN and MSNBC saying or insinuating this. Yes the media did black him out, but when they did cover him it was 99 percent negative. I have significant criticisms of Bernie, but the media have a clear anti Bernie bias.

I'm just thinking about all those woke, cancel culture, millennial/Gen Z, a bunch of whom are on my Facebook feed, I just can't see many of them holding their nose to vote for Biden, even against Trump. They're just gonna go :hubie:. We need these voters to actually show up.
Older millennials will, but younger millennials and gen Z are a problem. Issue is, for most millennials, Obama was our first or second...maybe third for the oldest...time they could vote, for gen z, it’s the first president they really remember....seems a lot carry the idea that the energy and phenomenon of Obama is how they should feel every election. Clearly 16 we stayed home, but now it’s time for a wake up call.

The mainstream media absolutely have an anti-Bernie bias, I just never heard them express it by saying he should drop out of the primary months before the first caucus :yeshrug:

hillary was an anomaly, and the worst person on the fukkin planet they could have run in 2016 :yeshrug: biden would have won in 2016 like bush did in 88

i hear what youre saying about swing votes. but for every swing voter bernie adds, he loses moderate dems and independents who arent interested in "im raising your taxes to pay for medicare for other people"

i was one of the most obnoxious bernie bros on the site in 2016 :dead: im not speaking from any kind of dislike of bernie. gotta call it how i see it, in an entirely different election. the orange fakkit has a record to run on now

calling biden a socialist would be laughed at :yeshrug: i dont even remember anyone calling hillary a socialist. other than that i agree with most of this

see what happens i guess. if hillary got 66 million votes the dems might get 70 in 2020 :heh:

To be honest none of the Democratic candidates really excite people like Clinton or Obama did
wait until america really starts to ramp up and realize the possibility of voting this fukkin clown outta office :yeshrug: im telling you the excitement is there. celebrities, the media, 60 percent of the country hates this guy

the campaign ad writes itself : the nominee looks in the camera and says "its time to tell donald trump; YOU'RE FIRED" :banderas::russ:
