im getting a bad feeling about this primary :snoop: i hope to fukkin christ that bernie or biden or whoever just wins it outright

theres so many goddamn candidates sucking votes away that it could be a disaster if delegates have to choose the nominee
That's Biden's biggest issue. Amy, Pete and Bloomberg are all sucking votes away from Biden. (Some Amy voters are sucking votes away from Warren too.)

This could open the door for Bernie to float to the nomination if these people who have no chance of winning the nomination just stay in and suck in delegates.

I think that's the thought behind a lot of Bernie's social media advocates hate for Warren. They think if she loses her voters randomly in blocks is just going to support Bernie:deadrose:. For me personally Bernie is close to the least likely for me to support next
nikkas tired of the compromises and half stepping. They want a real progressive. Those are the voters she will concede to him

After all, im a voter she lost to Bernie :manny:
smh...yall really cant think in any other mode than "it's all about bernie". liz doing well, but not eclipsing him, sets it up that if she drops out, he's very likely the person she endorses and can influence her delegates that way. it's already been shown her voters and his aren't the same, so if she were to drop out now, that actually leaves progressive strength worse off as her voters can go anywhere as opposed to her "gifting" her delegates to bernie on behalf of all her voters.

right now, just on pure polling, moderate candidates have 48% of the total as compared to 38% between her and bernie (41% if we just give yang's support to bernie). but like i said, please keep hoping for her downfall. :blessed:
Blah blah blah another bad faith argument

Im not even counting on her to endorse shyt tbh and I feel she's waiting for the establishment frontrunner to emerge for that.

The progressive voters will vote for a progressive at the end of the day because this is an opportunity for them. The moderates on the other hand vote for a variety of reasons and dont ahere to poltical compass theory strictly, so I don't trust your analysis. Let the never bernie's join you at the wine cave

Keep the same means relative annual increases. Please don’t be that guy. When you get a small annual increase to your pay due to inflation, that’s basically the same pay, it’s not a substantial increase. No budget stays flat when it covers things that will cost more in the upcoming year. So the plurality are for keeping it the same or increasing, not decreasing as you were trying to make it out to be
What?! I do not get any pay increase based on fukkin' inflation, nor is that the norm.
If that's the case everything in the budget should be increasing but it's not they got plans to cut SS, Medicare, etc.
It's a scam and you are either falling for it or playing ignorant.

Lmao...ahh so it boils down to you can see Liz as nothing but the opps...

And the bolded makes absolutely no sense, we are in the primaries...you think the moderate voters with 4 options won’t adhere to a compass and will strangely vote Bernie? Talk about bad faith arguments.

Yep. I said a while ago that the Dem base is going to bytch about whoever wins and use it as an excuse not to vote. :francis:

Looking more and more like we're headed for a brokered convention where it'll be literally impossible to please everybody.

too high based on what? and if trump's budget wasn't approved, do you think the fund requested were going to be allocated to anything you champion?
Underrated post.

Further, progressives really shouldn't be making fiscal responsibility arguments right now. Not if you want to push through your agenda. :francis:

Getting a COL pay raise (2-3% for inflation) is the norm :dahell: you may get a merit increase too, but salaried workers usually get a COL increase at minimum (maybe you’re being exploited by your employer tho...which wouldn’t be a surprise in this country)

And when you want to sustain a budget, it increases to keep up with rising costs, they are slashing entitlements and thus lowering the costs of SS/MC, therefore decreasing funding for those other things. If they weren’t gutting those programs, then I’d expect to see slight increases to their budgets too.

Most Dems are pro imperialism at long as the domestic issues move progressive. We had this discussion with Warren supporters before on here and they pretty much stated foreign policy doesn't matter as much. I've gotten the same response offline.
Military spending isn't why we don't have progressive programs.

At this point, with a chance to dismantle systematic inequality or at least attack that + climate change within this election ; anyone who isnt with it is opps

Im not being irrational, liz was my intial selection this cycle

Um yes, because they vote for issues and record...:wtf: and things even more petty like charisma, looks, sex, race etc.

Some will vote for Bernie, some wont.

The idea of straight adding up poll percentages and allocating them based your perception of political compass is hilariously short sighted.

So I said bad faith rather than stupid. I know you're better than that.

They are gutting programs, not everything is tied to inflation. Just so we can spend more than the next 10 country's military budget. And you are fine with that uh sort of. lol

I’ll support Bernie if warren doesn’t get the nod but his supporters are annoying as shyt. I don’t got time to be arguing with on twitter all day:dahell:

Bro, I know that’s not how the vote will split, but the clear picture right now is that there is more of the electorate supporting moderates than progressives. Liz doing well sets up the possibility (I never said it was a certainty) that her delegates support Bernie when she endorses him...and unlike you, I do believe Liz will endorse someone and that it won’t be a damn Bloomberg or Biden.
