You seem to be arguing with someone else or a strawman. I was comparing the support of progressive programs by some in the party while ignoring foreign policy. If you want to discuss that have at it but the military budget is mostly a side point that the progressive candidates are saying they will move money to help fund domestic programs.
Y'all had this conversation with me.

I can't speak for anyone else but the premise was never about the military budget specifically as you say. But that being as imperialistic as we are is an antithesis to the wants of the party to move toward better policies domestically. I would love for the military budget to be lowered but I've never said that would end imperialismY'all had this conversation with me.

Basically saying that America's appetite for progressive policies at home should not and does not hinge on foreign policy.
I've argued this from multiple angles, but I'll merely say this. Americans are self interested and rightfully so with regard to government.
If Sanders makes the argument that we make provide socialism for businesses and elite while also funding the military, then clearly we can fund labor without having to also have a progressive foreign policy view.
I'm not rich. Based on the chart posted earlier, I'm upper middle class, but an inflation matching raise is the very base even if you're performance is average.Unless you are a multi millionaire you are just like me,
