Which Income Class Are You?

Let's say middle class is 100k a year household income.

The first 30K is exempt.

So you pay a 4% payroll tax on $70K of income.

That's $2800 a year for your entire family.

That's $107 a check for you and your entire family.

My wife pays $80 a check for just her and my son making 40 - 50K a year income.

I pay $80 a check for just myself making 40-50k income.

Not to mention we've already paid about $1000 in deductibles and co-pays this year.

If the shyt goes through as planned it'd be a win for the middle class.
We've done this already. :unimpressed:

There's a plan out there that provides healthcare for everyone that does not call for raising the taxes on the middle class.

You're attempting to frame it as selfish.

I'm telling you there's a better way.

Edit: if that makes me the opps you can suck my dikk

Self interest: A concern for one's own advantage and well-being

I'm telling you, that your self interests are not aligned with the majority of the population, including those who don't/can't vote, who have been asked to support the will of people who have more and think they know so much better than everyone to little or no avail.

And I'm cool on the invite, but you should probably pull your skirt down a little bit before you start looking like one of those nasty, unruly "Bernie Bros" who just can't seem to have civil discourse.

I support a healthcare plan that benefits everyone and does not call for an increase in taxes on the middle class.

You're not arguing in good faith.

I know...why you acting brand new :comeon:

If you're advocating Warren's plan remember the reason she tumbled was because she lied about the tax increase on the middle class.
She didn't lie about it. She gave you a plan that shows you exactly how it will be paid for.

Then you all got into an argument about head tax and payroll taxes.

But I'm starting to surmise that you all don't like it because Bernie didn't propose it.

But until he releases a plan I guess we should table this discussion. :yeshrug:

This is a strawman.

I support a Medicare for all proposal that does not call for the increase in taxes on the middle class.

If you can't accept that then there's really nothing for us to discuss and it's HYON season. :manny:
Her proposal isnt "medicare for all" its "medicare for some..... If you meet xy and z qualifications that republicans will eventually bully me into making unattainable"

She's not a real progressive and thus not winning the nomination. If you really support universal healthcare then your words here are incongruent
Absolutely.

Not only that, but I just posted here last night about my healthcare.gov costs when running a fitness related business only in my 30's (no pre-existing conditions/eat healthy/exercise hard 7 days a week), and despite paying premiums out the ass with a high deductible, my insurance had the nerve just today to not cover a basic prescription. So DESPITE me paying them an arm and a leg, I STILL had to pay out of pocket for meds that don't cost shyt to make. Last year I had a different plan that did cover them for $4 a month.

It's greed gone too far. It's that simple. There's no logical explanation why I should be paying what I'm paying and then get denied some pills that were covered for a $4 generic pill copay in 2019. So what, suddenly in 2020 it's just too much for them to help me with?

fuuuuckkkkk them...
Sorry to hear that. So many insurance plans are woefully ineffective tripe wrapped up in so much jargon that people dont realize how badly they've been getting fukked until 3rd trimester.

Martin skreli is a case study on why this industry needs to be regulated or reconsidered if it should be an industry at all.

Nah, Coli bros calling upper middle class people the elites, the enemy, and out of touch. :mjlol:
Nah man. When most of say elite we do not mean upper middle class. We mean the fukking millionaires and especially the billionaires that don't want to fork over anything.

The 3 richest Americans hold more wealth between them than the bottom 50% of the rest of the United States.

That's the type of elite oligarchs and overlords that we are tired of. The middle class was already being pushed on, and then the crooks on Wall Street crashed the economy in 2008 and crushed it even more by taking what little wealth the middle class had left. Ever since then with movements like Occupy Wall Street, The Tea Party, etc, you've been seeing signs that motherfukkers are tired of the ruling class in this country.

You aren't the enemy here.

Edit: BTW if you earned 1 dollar per second just for breathing air, it would take 32 years before you had a billion dollars. I don't think most people comprehend the difference between a million and a billion. You can have 999 million dollars and not be a billionaire. When we rag on billionaires some people act like we're talking shyt about a lot of people, without realizing how few billionaires are out there.

I'm all for taxing the ultra wealthy. :manny:

Thanks breh.

Part of me definitely thinks that it's fukked up to put economic incentives in place that prioritize not taking care of people. As soon as you do that people will naturally turn down people for health care and coverage. I don't think it's a perfect 1 to 1 argument, but I think similarly of the private prison system. As soon as you make it able to profit off of people being locked in cages, then of course it's going to be in your interest to lock more people in cages, and not let out the ones already locked up.

I'm definitely in the health care = human right camp, but at the same time I do wish more people would take ownership over their own health and do a better job at taking care of themselves. We should have better education on exercise, eating, proper use of antibiotics, etc. But I still think it's bizarre to claim to be the best nation on earth and allow out own citizens to die in crazy numbers because they can't afford their medical bills.

We got middle-class people out here calling Uber for their heart attacks because they can't pay for ambulances.

It's gone too far.

Just like I don't get the point of giving a shyt about caring what some bytch from the Netherlands thinks about Bernie Sanders :manny:
The point is people are becoming aware that this kind of stuff is expected and guaranteed in the majority of the other first world countries in the world. They’re becoming more open to the idea because all of a sudden it’s not preposterous. Stop being so fukking simple.

It’s fukk trump all day everyday, but he was a gut punch to the establishment and elites of both parties. Bernie is the fukk you to the dem establishment. People are flocking to young Bern because they’re getting squeezed by the elites.
