This is not true for people who already have employer provided insurance.

We're not talking about student loan forgiveness. But that's another tax increase on the middle class. Can you push through both? At what cost?

At some point Bernie is going to have to get into the specifics and not just pie in the sky us.
Did you see his Nevada speech?

It was like he was just yelling his wish list.

And people cheered for it.

We are absolutely screwed if people are really buying this. He's not speaking to a higher cause, he's running on sheer resentment utopia.

Don't forget about Trump admitting on Lev's tape that Bernie was the only candidate he feared in the General
First off, he didn't "fear" Bernie.

He says bernie would have been formidable because they have overlapping bases...which is why black people have been so soft supporting Bernie.

Its always neglecting to talk about black issues.

I need some OKRs.

Merely having big goals isn't enough.

Let me say it again. When you start taking significant chunks of money out of middle class homes you're advocating a further destruction of the middle class.

Similarly, you're making upward mobility even harder. When people can't retire, they hold on to jobs longer. Which depresses younger people entering the workforce.
Healthcare costs has kept more people out of retirement than taxes ever could. Source: I worked in the medicare insurance industry for years.

They're working because the alternative is rationing their SSI checks between life sustaining medication and food. old folks will be better able to sustain themselves in retirement if they dont have healthcare expenses. They are the most at risk group for dying due to unaffordable healthcare.

Don't try to use them for your bullshyt argument. :ufdup:The only thing it threatens is a little extra coin which goes to treating family your insurance coverage would never allow without additional plans like your older aunts and uncles or their children

That includes poor whites voting against their best interests to maintain the illusion that they're at least better than the poor 'others'.
One of the greatest cons ever is that poor Americans just believe they simply aren't rich yet or that they're temporarily broke. Fox News did a great job for a long time convincing poor white people that poor people of color were out to take what they had left.

Which Income Class Are You?

Let's say middle class is 100k a year household income.

The first 30K is exempt.

So you pay a 4% payroll tax on $70K of income.

That's $2800 a year for your entire family.

That's $107 a check for you and your entire family.

My wife pays $80 a check for just her and my son making 40 - 50K a year income.

I pay $80 a check for just myself making 40-50k income.

Not to mention we've already paid about $1000 in deductibles and co-pays this year.

If the shyt goes through as planned it'd be a win for the middle class.

This is a strawman.

I support a Medicare for all proposal that does not call for the increase in taxes on the middle class.

If you can't accept that then there's really nothing for us to discuss and it's HYON season. :manny:

Absolutely.

Not only that, but I just posted here last night about my healthcare.gov costs when running a fitness related business only in my 30's (no pre-existing conditions/eat healthy/exercise hard 7 days a week), and despite paying premiums out the ass with a high deductible, my insurance had the nerve just today to not cover a basic prescription. So DESPITE me paying them an arm and a leg, I STILL had to pay out of pocket for meds that don't cost shyt to make. Last year I had a different plan that did cover them for $4 a month.

It's greed gone too far. It's that simple. There's no logical explanation why I should be paying what I'm paying and then get denied some pills that were covered for a $4 generic pill copay in 2019. So what, suddenly in 2020 it's just too much for them to help me with?

fuuuuckkkkk them...
