Tired of these politicians only bringing up race when it comes to states that have black folks. Should be a discussion everywhere you're
This is one of the main reasons I'm with Warren. She effortlessly blends racial justice into every question. She never needs to wait for the race question to be asked.

Bernie's entire model of Presidential power is marshaling an unprecedented wave of citizens in the streets to march, demanding these policies, and engage in a massive, prolonged siege against the establishment political status quo. It's a long shot in the best of circumstances, he absolutely cannot afford to write off the 3rd most populous state in the nation. I think twitter bubbles have warped a lot of leftist's perspectives about how self-evidently popular the agenda is. Not saying he can't stake out politically difficult positions, just don't think he can afford to be so flippant about the unbaptized.
Florida’s industries are mostly a giant serfdom. All the metro areas of FL; Miami, Jax, Tampa and especially Orlando have some of the lowest median wages in the country. Bernie’s path there is to get out a lot of low wage workers, a lot of them immigrants, largely in the tourism industry.

FL does look like it’s gonna be tough for Bernie in the general though. Those Puerto Ricans in central FL better show out. We already know Trump has unwashed legions all along the I-4 corridor, north FL and especially the pandhandle, which should be annexed by Alabama, or broken off into the Gulf if Mexico.

You realize in order for it to pass senators and representatives from purple and red states would have to vote for it too right:usure:

The post I quoted was talking about Democrats not voting for M4A.

But lucky for your question, M4A is not as unpopular among Republicans as you may think. The polling fluctuates, but as little as a year and a half ago the majority of self-identified REPUBLICANS supported it. Most recent data I remember seeing this year hovers in the mid-30 percent range, which I'm sure will rise back up above 50% once the fear mongering about it is combated on a massive scale.

Public option already died once. The difference is M4A has a movement behind them that believes health care is a right. So you're fighting on different fronts with this. I can agree that bargining from M4A to a PO is a reasonable stance. But if you start at giving the health insurance industry a leg up I believe you lose from the jump.
I think you're right about the movement, but I really don't think this is how the bargaining will work in practice, breh. Mitch is probably salivating at the chance to put Bernie's M4A bill up for a floor vote, just like he did with the GND. Taking the most extreme opening position can actually be counterintuitive when your opponent knows you don't have a credible way to enforce it.
