I definitely understand your points and honestly I can't say there's anything wrong with the argument. It really is a difficult issue right now. My main concern right now is that everyone is focusing their fire on her. The Dems see her as the main threat b/c they see her as clearly neck/neck with Biden. You see how no one even bothers going after Sanders .

The other thing is that you know the american public are stupid as fukk. So even though they may end up paying way less b/c whatever taxes are used to pay will be more than offset by no longer paying premiums, many are dumb enough not to make the connection.

I guess another way she could approach it is to use it to build her reputation as someone who is willing to support/announce big solutions knowing that a lot of entrenched interests will go after her. In essence paint everyone else as just chicken shyt politicians playing small ball. I could also be overreacting b/c M4All is still popular within the Dem party. Maybe the shift occurs later...

We all know there's a slim to none chance M4A is getting passed by the next president. I'm starting to wonder if it was dumb for Warren to attach herself to this approach. If she ran on a public option and strict reforms to drug pricing she'd probably be in the mid 30's/low 40's right now.

She's attached herself to a lane of cultist. These aren't progressives at all they just want their guy in the office. How you have more smoke for the broad supporting your plan and putting together a funding plan than the other candidates who openly shyt on the idea 24/7. Nah you don’t. You’re looking at moderate as synonymous with centrist. Nobody fukks with the political center anymore. Courting “moderate” voters is out of the 90’s and 00’s playbook. They don’t really exist anymore...not on economics anyway. It’s better to just say persuadable voters or swing voters.

Traditionally moderates are supposed to represent the sensible middle between the left and right. It’s obviously apparent those centrist positions are not sensible or popular anymore, if they ever were, unless you think people are clamoring for never ending middle east wars, Romneycare, extreme wealth inequality and the next CAP-produced public-private monstrosity full of tax credits and piecemeal “reforms” that always benefit corporations.

There is this antiquated presumption that you must support milquetoast corporate-friendly policies that always value property rights over human rights because they’re more “moderate” and appeal to the center. That’s a bunch of bullshyt. Undecided or malleable voters respond to someone who they think is going to shake up the norms and present a better way because the established center has no credibility.

This fool’s errand of chasing the center will lead to nowhere but supporting the same vastly unpopular policies and politics that helped bring about Donald Trump.

Her whole campaign is centered around her being a technocrat supreme. Then she puts out a plan that is very wanting from a wonk perspective. Some other progressives raise valid criticisms and offer what they think are better proposed solutions and you tell us to shut up and get in line.
