Hillary should have named Bernie VP in 2016.

I’m team Bernie. I like Yang though. I don’t agree with all his approaches and Ive critiques his health policy and regressive VAT. But he should be in the debates.
I wonder which of her brothers called her a liar for saying their pops was a janijtor.

The full depth of Liz’ progressivism is her government work on financial corruption over the past decade and some scholarly legal work for consumer protection and bankruptcy a few years prior.
She also was a Republican who probably sided with big business for most of her life. She has no history in progressive or leftist social movements. She seems to have little intellectual curiosity or passionate feelings on foreign policy at all.
You’re talking about strength of ideological convictions. I don’t see much in the way of ideological convictions other than outrage over crooked bankers (As important as this economy being rigged for the rich is, that’s honestly low-hanging fruit POLITICALLY, post-2008. Everybody hates bankers).
There isn’t really a case that to made that she’s even close to as trustworthy a progressive as Bernie. If the case is she’s a more skilled at crafting legislation than Bernie, then she should stay in the Senate. The president doesn’t have to be master legislator, just try and set the agenda from the top and sign or not sign whatever comes through Congress and staff agencies with the best people to do the grind work...and foreign policy.
What actual work? All this shyt about her being a master legislator or whatever is moot because of congressional Republicans and it’s been that way since 2010.
I’m not sold on Bernie’s strategy of taking the fight to other Repubs districts and rally for healthcare, education, wages, etc., but it’s a lot better move than hope Mitch McConnell changes. Liz isn’t going to be able to get shyt past the Senate. Bernie probably won’t get much either but he’s better because he has a powerful grassroots movement which he won’t dismantle once he gets in office like Obama, and he inspires and activates voters to put a fire under these legislators asses and threaten them with consequences for not working in the interest of the people. Liz doesn’t have the weight to do that cause real people see through her.
The place a president has the most effect is foreign policy, and there is no case to be made that Liz is better than Bernie on that.
