you think biden will propose cutting social security if he gets elected to what he admits is probably a fukkin four year presidency? :why:

i'll remember that next time you call me an idiot :laff:
You are an idiot and Biden advocates cutting social security as far back as 8 years ago.

The question isn’t will he do it or not, the question is do you trust him. No one wants to say yes or no to that question. That’s why Sanders is hitting Biden on this point.
What the fukk do I need to trust beyond him not cutting it and attempting to expand it?

SS isn't going to make any meaningful portion of my retirement anyway. :yeshrug:
I’m going to take this as a no, you don’t trust him.

also I’m guessing social security has nothing to do with electability which you and others keep bringing up.

Nothing new under the sun, buddy

In the evening of Oct. 28, 1997, House Speaker Newt Gingrich headed to the White House to meet with President Bill Clinton, ostensibly to hammer out final details of the 1998 budget. In reality, Gingrich and Clinton were putting finishing touches on a deal to create a centrist political coalition to fix long-term problems facing Social Security and Medicare. In his new book, The Pact: Bill Clinton, Newt Gingrich, and the Rivalry That Defined a Generation, Steven Gillon, resident historian of the History Channel and a professor of history at the University of Oklahoma, reveals the behind-the-scenes machinations that led to the meeting and how the potentially historic effort was derailed in an instant by the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

You are an idiot and Biden advocates cutting social security as far back as five years ago.

The question isn’t will he do it or not, the question is do you trust him. No one wants to say yes or no to that question. That’s why Sanders is hitting Biden on this point.

I’m going to take this as a no, you don’t trust him.
I'm Going to neg you.

You can't even explain what we're supposed to be trusting.

yes, im aware of all the 30 year old articles you can pull up

im asking you WHY 78 year old joe biden, who is being realistic about the possibility of not even seeking a second term, would ever propose cutting social security in his time in the white house :laff:

the democrats are gonna let the republicans play the villain on that one

Bernie was alleged by Centrists to have claimed that women wold not win the presidency despite saying on video that he believed they would;

so by their own standard Biden is going to cut the fucc out of social security :hubie:

you need the hispanic vote.

hispanics who actually are eligible to vote are in insignificant states. Like Cali and ny.

Biden targets hispanics that matter in states that, they are not pro immigration.

Trump almost won 40% of all Hispanic votes. That’s why idc when ppl post Bernies Hispanic vote. It’s in states that don’t matter at all.

Biden by far has the best Hispanic strategy to actually win.

The allegation was that a woman couldn't defeat Trump not that a woman couldn't become prez.

Nina Turner >>>> Barbara lee for Bernie anyway. Tulsi is a net negative for anybody at this point.

Some people say VP picks are inconsequential or at best serve as a connection to a particular voting bloc that you need to shore up...Nina is a young BLACK BLACK woman and would be able to connect with a demographic that he doesn't have a lot of connection with currently. Not only that...but whether she gets VP or not, she is really his right hand and most likely the successor to his movement in the now so there will be actual continuity moving forward rather than some mix and match bullshyt to try and concoct a winning ticket.

If Bernie wants the Black vote locked in, he's pretty much gonna have to choose a Black Woman that's not Whitewashed to appeal to older Black Women voters who aren't convinced by him.

You're bringing the argument back to terms you deem acceptable to fit your percieved scenario

He doesnt have to "propose" anything to want to "sure it up".. the cat is out of the bag with privatization and that is DOA, but you are naive to think a guy who was a corporatist his entire life wouldn't pull some fukkery against the interest of working folks

It's a good think he is going to get washed and you're going to be one of the bigger bernie fanboys on this sub come summer time so we dont have to go back and forth on this point too much. Peep that article though
