Stephon Castle starting to really break out, I like the Jimmy Butler comps

Watched his high school footage going against the likes of Ron Holland and he looked like the best player on the floor. Played like a SGA type point guard. He's gonna be a sneaky player who'll become really good.

I don't think this draft got all NBA players but I think the amount of people who'll be good enough to be part of a team with intriguing upside, would mean I'd rather buy picks from teams, and just have multiple guys show and prove..meaning the likes of Edey and the Asian guy posted on page one would be on my draft board just to see if THEY could figure out how to be effective in the NBA.

Houston for example last year got cam whitmore and now I bet his value is more than his pick. Sengun as well. Jokic as well because of being slow footed. Now they are priceless. I get the Edey criticism but for whatever pick he goes for. If they figure him out he's going to be ultra valuable.
At the top there's a lot of guys playing outside the traditional pipeline of college so it's how to project how special they might be.

I think Edey can be a legit star if he ends up in Atlanta. He doesn't waste movement, elite screen setter. Elite at drawing fouls. His game is very high BBIQ and he has superior offensive ability to Capela or OO.

I want him in Memphis just because he can rebound and that's a skill that's supposed to translate to the NBA. Solves 90 percent of our problems with 1 player

time for the all-star break Lotto Mock Draft

1. Detroit Pistons- Alexandre Sarr, C, France
2. Washington Wizards- Nikola Topic, G, Serbia
3. San Antonio Spurs- Cody Williams, G, Colorado
4. Charlotte Hornets- Ron Holland, G, Ignite
5. Portland Trail Blazers- Zaccharie Risacher, F, Ignite
6. Toronto Raptors- Rob Dillingham, G, Kentucky
7. Memphis Grizzlies- Yves Missi, C, Baylor
8. Houston Rockets- Reed Sheppard, G, Kentucky
9. Atlanta Hawks- Kyle Filipowski, C, Duke
10. Oklahoma City Thunder- Matas Buzelis, F, Ignite
11. Oklahoma City Thunder- Tyler Smith, F, Ignite
12. Chicago Bulls- Dalton Knecht, F, Tennessee
13. Portland Trail Blazers- Donovan Clingan, C, Connecticut
14. New Orleans Pelicans- Ulrich Chomche, F/C, Cameroon

So based on this mock draft, only 7 of the top 14 picks are in college right now. 4 who play on 1 G league team (who are currently 2-19), and 3 foreign players (none with anywhere near the talk like Victor last year. And the supposed best player in college (Zach Edey) is a projected 2nd round pick. Not to mention, I havent heard of any big highlights from any of these players this year. They might need to just cancel this draft and combine it with the 2025 draft.

Colliers fall has been pretty astounding

You think he'll really fall out of the lottery?

Ain't played in 2 years + Bane contract extension kicks in next year that would have us above the apron.

Don't know if he will be healthy again at this point
Edey does have his limitations (I witnessed Daniel Thies put him on roller skates several times this past summer) but in terms of health, he's an outlier at his size that we've never seen

He's missed 1 game in his career, while playing international ball every summer, and his only missed game was for an illness

already defends at a very high level which you don't usually see from freshmen perimeter players, jumper was shaky at the start but he's starting to knock them down consistently once he got comfortable and his confidence up
