what killed your buzz? lol That he might be back for another year or that there was no timeline for the decision?
That he’s back. I was having visions of a Rashee, Xavier, Pitts focused offense. Now I gotta watch him run like Jason Dunn while getting 100 targets another year…while taking up 19 mill of the cap cause of nostalgia dawg.

oh ok gotcha lol Maybe this last year he'll be energized/invigorated for the final swan song..as potentially the 3rd option

I can't front the idea of Rashee, Xavier (maybe Hollywood back?) and Pitts, with Andy running plays... :banderas: not bad...not bad at all

I’m fine with him returning he’s a franchise legend..but at 19 mill dawg :beli:

Then Fescoe dikkeating on the radio talking about he’s worth this just off intangibles.

I'm hoping Chiefs imposed that deadline on him so that it leaves them time to still rework his contract and lessen the cap hit. He's not currently worth the cap hit but I'm not mad at him coming back. He still has value and can still be a threat if defenses aren't focused on him.

yeah if he we're going with this is really his last year, I can see him really being in the zone come June/July.

I think they're going to get a few players to restructure plus take a page out of Philly and tack on extra years on a few contracts void years where they can stay under the cap for the time being
Yea I read about how Philly spent literally twice as much as everybody else this yr, essentially banking on the cap to keep going up as well to absorb those void yrs down the line.

I think they’re in a privileged position, as if they end up having to face the music in a couple seasons, they’re not wasting Jalen Hurts because he isn’t the end all be all. On top of probably having the best drafts of the past 4-5 yrs.

Veach has basically worked to never have a down yr during Pat’s prime because they don’t want to throw any yrs away. And they’ll pay the piper once Pat is done, like the Saints could have done with Brees.

I wonder if he pushes more chips on the table now and risks having a bust yr or two. Basically he can’t afford to fukk up any major picks in the foreseeable future, and definitely can’t afford to give out any bad major contracts if he takes that route.
