Why wouldn’t I? The filibuster is the only thing keeping Republicans from having to answer for their extremist views. I want them to be able to pass everything they want and then have to deal with the consequences. They’ve admitted over and over that the filibuster stops the fringe right from gaining power and lets the more “moderate” members pretend they don’t support the same things while still helping tear down the government. And the filibuster gives useless moderate Democrats an excuse to avoid taking real positions.

This is one of those things that sound good online but will cause real pain to the average American. This type of logic is why I wouldn’t label myself as a progressive
Encourage the Republicans to pass a modern enabling act to prove a point brehs
Average American already has pain, instead the pain isn't answered for because republicans can hide behind we can't do anything ( see healthcare bill)
Additionally the filibuster stops dems from doing things like national holidays for voting, extension or voting rights, expanding the supreme court etc. Yes I'd like to encourage republicans to have to take their mask off or choose a position

None of bidens agenda did pass. In fact if the filibuster didn't exist republicans would be a permanent unclass minority, they exist in their current state and win elections due to racist voter laws.
