one of the most “fascinating” things for me was watching people’s reception to crypto and how the media had a huge hand in manipulating a lot of ppl’s feelings toward it as well
when I told friends/family/coworkers about it when it was relatively unpopular, it was met with utter disdain...media didn’t even touch the subject...when it gained some momentum, media picked it up but the stories were all cautionary...of course, the ppl who I spoke to about crypto were all “experts” warning me of the “dangers” associated with it that they were parroting from the media...once it exploded and hit its peak, the media was all for it and pushing folks to buy it...and folks who I tried to put on earlier now wanted to know how to buy it which I couldn’t advise in good faith cuz the bubble was getting ready to pop
the thread vultures are circling these threads waiting for the bubble to pop again so they can flood the threads with “I told you so” and “crypto is over”...but the smart ones will be buying shyt up and patiently waiting for the next run while the johnny-come-latelys miss out on it all over again
