And FTR fasting isn't starving yourself. I rarely feel hungry while fasting cause my body is in ketosis. When you're in ketosis your body feeds on its fat reserves and thus doesn't send the hormonal signal to your brain that its hungry. Starvation only happens when you lack fat reserves and your body starts feeding on its own tissue. That isn't the case for most people while fasting.

Watch this video and you might learn something. FYI I've already seen dramatic results in 2 weeks fasting. I've gotten multiple compliments on looking younger. It doesn't take long to get dramatic benefits from fasting.

You burn more calories than you intake and you will lose weight. It’s literally that simple. They know most folks don’t have the discipline or are willing to put in the effort to lose weight the traditional way, which is simply eating a healthy diet and doing enough high intensity training to burn more than you intake. People would rather pay to hear about a new way to lose weight quickly, and it’s literally just not eating. But enough of em are buying these “guides to fasting” and this “don’t listen to your doctor, read this book” nonsense it’s turned into a booming business for these snake oil salesmen. You’re eating it up, by going several straight days by not eating, eating once, and going days again with zero caloric intake and somehow your ignorant ass is stunned you lost weight. Be happy being ignorant. Fasting is at the cutting edge of medical research right now. That's why most medical professionals might not cosign it. Its because they are as ignorant as you on this topic. However, those who have seen the research know its extremely beneficial for our health. BTW if you watched that earlier video of Dr. Fung I posted you would know calorie counting is irrelevant to weight loss.
And while 5 days might be too much for me, I'm sure if I showed up to the Mayo clinic on a 3 day fast the doctors would be astonished by my health. At 3 days fast I've felt amazing. Better than I do on a full stomach.

Who’s questioning that you drop weight quickly when you literally don’t eat? That’s the point of calorie deficits. It’s simply not healthy as a long term solution. The tried and true methods of keeping weight off and being healthy take work and discipline.
