Im about a week in think I started last Saturday. It's really not that hard and I don't get that hungry and been doing an hour of cardio a day. It's hard to do on the weekends tho if you have any type of social life anyway. I did it last week maybe 3 out of the 7 days. I think someone said this is on Amazon prime but he's a documentary about fasting and it has a bunch of doctors on it talking bout how long term fasting has also helped people with diabeetus and high blood pressure. After experimenting with it I am def sticking with fasting for 24 hours a few times a week.

I had been doing OMAD for about a week then I started the fast.

You’re right, it’s not hard at all but you gotta drink mad water.

I also used black cold brew coffee to help with hunger pangs.

I could’ve gone longer, after 2 days I still wasn’t hungry at all and had crazy energy, but I didn’t want to overdo it on my 1st fast.

My longest was 2 days. The holidays screwed me over. I need to lose 14 lbs. I’m back at the omad/warrior diet on the weekend. But I be craving tortilla chips and potatoes :ohlawd:

Yea it's harder not to eat because who the fukk doesn't like to eat. I don't get hungry until like the 20/22 hour mark and I already drink a ton of water but yea drinking water helps I just drink it ouf of the gallon.

:comeon:

You think cutting carbs AND fasting between 24-72 hours is more sustainable for a nutritionally undisciplined person? Shortcut to failure right there.

If anything, let the man sort out his diet, and learn to eat in a caloric deficit first. That plateau is a long ways out, but if, or when he reaches it, then he can fukk around with ketosis/IF. He should have the confidence and discipline by that point to will himself through it.

Just finished a 48 hour.

I’m going for 96 in a couple days.

:banderas:

Real shyt.

I'm about to break a 110 hour fast today (my longest ever). The last 72 hours or so being dry (no food or water). It was tough but very rewarding.

At the rate I'm going right now, I'm about to lose 30 lbs in 30 days. Almost all of it being body fat since I'm still lifting the same in the gym.

:salute: I ain’t ready for a dry fast yet.

I’ll be good by the time Ramadan comes around though.

Yep.

I carried around a gallon jug of deer park.

Made sure I finished it by the end of the day.

It's crazy that it's really not that hard it's just mind over matter. We've been conditioned to eat 3 meals a day or 5 small meals a day but I see why everyone is fat we eat way more than we need to.

Waaaay more than we need to.

Fasting for spiritual purposes makes sense to me. The clarity you get is matched only by intense meditation. Fasting for dietary reasons though, seems like a shortcut to an eating disorder. The best "diets" are the sustainable ones and for a vast number of reasons (willpower, practicality, etc.) long term fasting is not a path to health.
