False. I've done the fasting experiments myself. You don't feel hungry at all while fasting. People gotta realize that it isn't a lack of food that causes hunger, its a hormone known as Ghrelin. Our body when it runs low on food will send this hormonal signal to the brain telling us to eat. However, if you power through that short burst of Ghrelin you'll notice that the hunger goes away.
The hunger never goes away

Intermittent fasting with an 18 hr fast /6 hour eating window

Paired with carb cycling and clean eating

This will lead to a quick plateau once your body adjusts. Also you won't lose fat as quickly as you will doing prolonged fasting. I'm currently on track to lose 30 lbs in 30 days. That shyt is not possible doing intermittent fasting. Its only possible doing prolonged fasts that are a minimum of 72 hours.

You lose fat by forcing your body into ketosis. And a 18 hour fasting window isn't big enough for any significant ketosis to occur. You could limit your carbs but what fun is eating if you don't eat any carbs? Just make the fasting window longer and eat the foods you want to eat. You will get better weight loss results and feel more nourished.

No it wont, I've done it several times. Track your calories and macros. Carb cycling and refeed days are what stops you from plateauing

72 hour fasting to lose weight is absolutely ridiculous, intermittent fasting is not meant to induce a state of ketosis otherwise I wouldn't have suggested carb cycling

What you're suggesting is going to cause bruh to spin his wheels because he's not going to be eating nutrient dense meals because he just wont eat for 3 days lol

What you're doing is not healthy nor sustainable, you will have a hard time keeping it off because once you lose what you want to lose you'll fall back into your same patterns because you're simply starving yourself. To properly lose weight it takes some discipline breh. I've done it several times over the years. I know what I'm talking about. I've done bulk cut cycles at least 4 times.

You lose fat by eating less than your maintenance calories

Literally this simple. Folks becoming emaciated to lose lbs real quick when this works and is actually healthy and sustainable

You won't look emaciated by doing prolonged fasts. Prolonged fasting is actually more muscle sparing than caloric restriction. What happens when you fast for 72-96 hours is your body just burns fat. And that's what everyone who is looking to lose weight is aiming for. There is no better method for fat loss than prolonged fasting.

The only people who will look emaciated after fasting are those that never had a solid base of muscle on their body to begin with. As long as you've been going to the gym before regularly then you'll have a nice base of muscle on your bones. Most people who go to the gym regularly just have too much fat on them for those muscles to show in their full glory. If they fast they lose all that fat with only minimal loss of muscle. That will result in a ripped physique that shows all those muscles you've had buried under fat for all these years.

The key is to keep going to the gym while fasting and making sure you keep lifting the same weights you were doing before fasting. This is the best method for keeping your muscles the same size while losing fat. After you lose all the fat then you can slowly bulk up with just lean muscle mass by contracting your fasting window and eating more calories.

I'm at 260 right now but my dream weight is actually 205 t0 210 lbs. I cant see myself below 185. That was my army weight and i hated the way i looked then when i look at photos

Start doing 72-96 hour fasts and you will lose that weight in 2 months. 50-55 lbs in 2 months is easily possible. I'm on track to lose 30 lbs in 30 days by the end of this week.

Just for reference, I started out at around 188 lbs in late December. I'm currently 163 lbs. as of this morning. I plan to be around 159 lbs by the end of this week given my current rate of weight loss. I'm guessing my ideal weight is around 160 lbs to look as shredded and lean as Brad Pitt was in fight club (we're the same height and that's the look I'm trying to go for). I have less muscle mass on me right now that Brad Pitt had at the time. I'm guessing I need to get down to around 150 lbs to be in that sub-10% body fat range. Then when I'm super lean and ripped, I'll bulk up slowly adding nothing but lean muscle mass. I have zero interest in getting super muscular. More mass (even if its muscle) means more stress on your body's cardiovascular system and thus means a shorter lifespan. I wanna live a long healthy life and to do that its best to be as lean as possible while maintaining a healthy build. For my height (5'11") I've estimated that 160 lbs at sub-10% body fat is optimal.

You must not be fasting correctly. For me the hunger goes away quickly. I'm rarely hungry while doing 72 hour water fasts. Hunger only really starts to hit me when I push for 96 hours on a water fast. Dry fasts are another story. I get super thirsty and hunger by 24 hours. But that should be expected considering dry fasts have 3x the fat loss benefits of a water fast of the same length.

When you fast properly your body stops producing the hormone Gherlin (which is what makes us hungry) because your body enters ketosis (which means it starts using stored body fat for energy than glucose produced from the food you eat). I would not be fasting as consistently as I'm doing right now if I was always hungry. I would find some other way to lose weight. I'm doing this right now because I don't feel hungry while doing it and I'm getting amazing results. In fact its been so good for me that I plan to make it a part of my life going forward even after I hit by weight loss and body composition goals (which should take no longer than 1 more month given my current pace of success).

I'm fasting till the day I fukkin die. That's how good this experience has been for me.

I heard if you drink turtle urine mixed with vinegar it neutralizes the fat cells in your body by causing "alkyline synthesis" in which the acidic properties created dissolve fat.

I don't track calories or macros. I eat whatever I want and as much as I want and I'm still losing weight and burning fat at a higher rate than you could ever dream of doing what you do.

I do make sure my meals are natural and nourishing though. That's because I'm focused on health and longevity as much as I want to just look good. That means no processed foods. No high fructose corn syrup. And little to no added sugars. Almost all the sugar I consume comes from fruits and other natural sources. I eat lots of vegetables as well. I'll eat lots of eggs, beef, and chicken. I also love spaghetti and home made burgers. On my refeed days I eat until I'm sufficiently full. I don't care for calories cause by fasting for 72 hours I won't gain any fat no matter how many calories I consume cause my body is gonna utilize those calories fully and enter ketosis to burn fat for more energy.

This is a far more effective and nourishing method of weight loss than counting calories and excluding foods we all love like spaghetti and burgers cause they don't mesh with your macros for the day.

I didn't choose to fast. I was literally starving because of unfortunate circumstances.

It was just a constant pain of hunger. I lost weight but lost muscle as well

Did you eat small amounts of food during this period? Or were you totally without food? Cause if you ate small amounts then thats not fasting and you will get really bad hunger cause you've kept your body out of ketosis. Also what was your weight at that time? Obviously if you were already skinny then you would not have the neccesary fat reserves for your body to enter ketosis and use your stored fat as energy.

Prolonged fasting is very dangerous for people who are already skinny. Its only good for people who are overweight and have enough excess fat reserves that your body can use that for energy.

Burning 1000 calories on the treadmill is REALLY hard (unless you are like 300 lbs). an hour on the treadmill had me between 400-600 calories. The more in shape that I got, the less calories I would burn

No it's not :gucci:

If you do HIIT internal splits with at least level 5 incline you can do that in an hour easily.

Hope often do you fast?

I'm currently on a 36 hour fast as I type this. Just trying it out with my friend. She does them pretty often. First one I tried for 48 hours I saw about 6 lbs drop but it all came back when I started eating again a week later
